General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, October 13 Recap - Maxie & Peter Engaged - Nina To Bury Nelle - BLQ’s Singing Dilemma

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, October 13, reveal that Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) chatted at Anna’s house.

Anna shared that her sister Alex Devane (Finola Hughes) had tried to have her killed in Berlin, and Finn was peeved that he was just hearing about this now. Finn also wasn’t happy to hear about Anna and Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) plan to lure Alex to Port Charles.

Finn wondered what Alex could have against Anna now, and Anna speculated that it had to do with Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and the fact that Alex could be his mother.

Finn told Anna that she should just tell Peter that he could be Alex’s son, and Anna balked, saying that it would leave Peter susceptible to Alex’s manipulations. But later, Anna left a voicemail for Peter saying that there was something he needed to know.

At the hospital, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Peter were there to talk with Dr. Navarro about their baby’s genetic testing, but they got Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) instead.

Peter was happy to see Britt, but Maxie wasn’t. As it turned out, the baby’s genetic testing came back fine, but still Peter freaked out, saying that he didn’t know how to live without the fear of his father hanging over him.

Maxie gave Peter a big pep talk, explaining how Peter helped mend her heart after Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) died, and that she couldn’t imagine life without Peter.

Peter returned the sentiment, and Maxie blurted out, “Then marry me, Peter, and we can have each other forever.” Peter was astonished but happy. Britt, who was still in the room, called out, “Ask the woman already!”

So Peter got on one knee and said that he’d happily marry Maxie. Britt cried happy tears, and she gave Maxie and Peter some privacy. Maxie and Peter said that they never thought they could be so happy, and they were anxious to plan the rest of their lives together.

At the Floating Rib, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) met with his mom Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney). Jackie wondered when she could meet Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), and Chase admitted that he and Willow broke up.

Chase told Jackie the false story about how he cheated on Willow and caused the breakup. Jackie didn’t judge and she supported her son, saying that everyone makes mistakes.

Talk then turned to Finn, and Chase asked for Jackie’s help in fixing things between his dad and Finn. Jackie advised Chase to pick his battles and to stay out of it. Jackie said that Chase couldn’t get between Finn and his dad, and that if he got involved in the war, he could take friendly fire.

At the Metro Court, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) arrived looking strung out to the big Deception meeting. Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) was aghast and quickly did Sasha’s makeup, explaining that Maxie couldn’t be there and that this meeting with the buyer was very important.

In another area of the restaurant, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane) and Amy Driscoll (Risa Dorken) chatted. Amy wanted to be on hand when her big song was played, and Brook Lynn reminded her that it wasn’t “her” song – it belonged to Brook Lynn.

Valentin walked up, and Amy exited. Valentin asked how the recording session went, and Brook Lynn said it went fine.

Valentin and Brook Lynn joined Sasha and Lucy, and Brook Lynn handed over the recording of the song on a flash drive. The buyer, Mrs. Madigan, walked in, and the meeting began.

Sasha had some clear problems talking and functioning, and everyone noticed. Sasha’s hand visibly shook as she tried to apply some Deception lipstick. Mrs. Madigan decided to leave, as she had no time to waste on an inferior presentation.

Brook Lynn and Sasha went onto the terrace, and Sasha regrouped, then she came back in to talk with Mrs. Madigan. Sasha gave a nice talk, describing the Deception line and products and making an impressive presentation, Mrs. Madigan seemed impressed.

That was until Lucy went to play the song recording and it malfunctioned, Mrs. Madigan decided to bail, but Lucy said that Brook Lynn could sing the song live. Valentin thought that was a fantastic idea.

At Pentonville, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) visited with Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), who wanted to know if she was beginning divorce proceedings from Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).

Ava said that she had a counter, and she explained about the post-nuptial agreement and she agreed to share some of the money with Ryan when she won the Cassadine fortune.

Ryan didn’t go for it, and he said that he’d go to extremes to make sure that Ava didn’t find happiness with anyone else. Ava insisted that she wasn’t happy with Nikolas, and the she only wanted Nikolas’ money.

But Ryan wouldn’t budge. “Come see me with signed divorce papers,” Ryan said, then he walked away from the visitation room.

At Charlie’s Pub, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) talked about Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier), as Nina couldn’t get her mind off Nelle. Nina said that she had empathy for Nelle, but Jax admitted that he wasn’t unhappy that Nelle was gone.

Over at the bar, Nikolas asked Julian Jerome (William deVry) how he could keep Ava from Ryan. Julian replied that Nikolas needed to stop caring for Ava, frustrating Nikolas.

Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) walked in to tell Julian that he was responsible for Nelle’s burial arrangements. Julian refused, saying that Nelle would be buried in an unmarked grave, and Nina overheard this.

Nina decided to make sure that Nelle got a proper burial, which rattled Jax. Nina explained that she didn’t condone Nelle’s behavior, but she understood that Nelle felt unloved and motherless. Jax hoped that once the burial was behind Nina, then Nina could get Nelle out of her thoughts.

Nikolas was still at the bar when Ava walked in, back from Pentonville. Nikolas took off, and Ava wondered what was wrong with him. Julian asked Ava if she made a deal with Ryan or not. Ava said that she had figured out a way to get what they wanted without her having to divorce Nikolas.
