General Hospital Spoilers Update: Monday, August 3 – Nelle’s In Shock – Portia’s Disturbed – Laura’s Enraged

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, August 3, teases that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will fly into a rage. At GH, Laura will cross paths with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). It’s weird for Cyrus to keep showing up at the hospital like this – and he seems too interested in the lawsuit that’s going on.

Laura will snap at Cyrus as she tries to figure out what kind of angle Cyrus is working.

At the Metro Court, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will fume over Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) hostile takeover plan. Valentin won’t deny that he’s been scooping up shares and trying to gain control of ELQ.

Brook Lynn might rant about Valentin’s dirty moves, but he’s doing this fair and square.

After all, Brook Lynn herself was willing to sell her shares to Linc Brown (Dan Buran). She may argue that she never would’ve sold them if she’d known Valentin was running the show.

As far as Brook Lynn’s concerned, Valentin’s takeover plot will be kaput. Brook Lynn may argue that she’ll spread the news and put a stop to this, but Valentin won’t think that’s in her best interest.

Once Valentin asks if he can give her a couple reasons why, Brook Lynn may let him make his spiel. Even so, Brook Lynn will feel like she needs to find Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and fill him in ASAP.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Ned will raise his voice as he rants about ELQ being at risk. This potential hostile takeover will really have Ned riled up, so he’ll lash out at Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero).

None of this is Olivia’s fault, but Ned will be stressed to the max. It’s easy to see why Ned’s tension would just explode like this, but he may owe Olivia an apology later.

For now, Olivia will argue with Ned as Brook Lynn races home. It won’t be long until Brook Lynn interrupts, so we’ll see if she reveals exactly what Valentin’s been up to.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will run into another Port Charles resident – one that leaves her feeling uneasy. Since Portia works at GH and Cyrus will pay the hospital a visit on Monday, he may be the one who rattles Portia. Nothing good ever happens when Cyrus is around!

On a less disturbing note, Portia will push someone for honesty on Monday. She’ll talk across from a blonde woman, so it might be Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) who faces a grilling session. Portia will wonder if there’s a reason to fret, so she might ask about Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla).

Although Trina seems to be doing better following Marcus Taggert’s (Real Andrews) death and her traumatic ordeal, teenagers tend to hide things. Portia might fear that Trina’s got some walls up – and who better to tell her the real story than Trina’s bestie?

However, Josslyn isn’t as close to Trina as she used to be. Trina’s been leaning on Cameron Webber (William Lipton) more and more, so he’s the person who knows her best at the moment. If it’s Josslyn who Portia questions, Joss may not have all the answers Trina’s mom needs.

In the courtroom, Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) will have her lucky charm – that half-heart pendant we’ve heard so much about. Nelle will look at the necklace and close it back up in the palm of her hand.

On the stand, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will begin her testimony by suggesting that Nelle’s been a competent, hard-working employee.

Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) will get Nina to admit she hired Nelle to give her a second chance. Martin will also bring up the fact that Nelle took care of Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) once upon a time. Nina trusted Nelle to serve as a nanny to her former stepdaughter.

Nina will eventually be asked about the child she lost and how that shaped her view of Nelle. Martin will think Nina’s been able to formulate an opinion on what kind of mom Nelle would be to Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson).

If Nina does end up helping Nelle during Martin’s line of questioning, he shouldn’t get too cocky. Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy) will do her worst when it’s her turn, so Nina will be in a tight spot.

It seems Nina will be reluctant to say something, but Diane will encourage her to continue. Nina will argue that Nelle lived up her to her first impression, but things are apparently about to head downhill.

General Hospital spoilers point to Nelle being left in shock, so Diane may chip away at Nina’s support by running down the list of Nelle’s past offenses. Regardless, Nina will do her best to stick to the truth – and that’ll leave Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) proud of her.

GH fans can expect Nelle to blow her top by the time Tuesday, August 4, rolls around, so this custody battle’s bound to bring an infuriating curveball or two. As other updates emerge, we’ll keep you posted.

General Hospital spoilers say this will mark the first new episode since May, so it’s a long time coming! CDL’s your hotspot for sizzling General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so stop by often for more details.
