General Hospital Spoilers Update: Monday, August 31 – Carly's Horrible Nelle Deception – Willow Snaps at Michael – Mike Surprises Sonny

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, August 31, teases that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will have high hopes about the search for her biological child. Once Nina sits down to talk with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), they’ll discuss the latest developments.

Nina will be thrilled over the new lead they’ve found through Jasper “Jax” Jacks’ (Ingo Rademacher) jeweler.

Although Valentin certainly wants Nina to get the daughter she’s dreaming of, he’ll probably pass along a warning. It’s wise to be wary when it comes to Jax – at least that’s how Valentin feels about him!

Nina, on the other hand, thinks Jax is a kind, honest man who’d never betray her like Valentin did. You can bet Nina’s in for a rude awakening down the road!

Jax doesn’t know presumed dead Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) is the daughter Nina’s seeking, but he’ll undoubtedly figure it out sooner or later. When he does, Jax will probably keep that a secret along with exactly what went down by the cliff’s edge.

For now, Nina will have total trust in Jax despite Valentin’s words of caution. As for Valentin, he’ll sulk over what might’ve been and wish he could’ve given Nina her true daughter back instead of a fake one.

In the meantime, Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) will confess that he misses Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). After Neil hopes Alexis misses him as well, she’ll have to decide how to respond.

There’ll still be some fire going on between Neil and Alexis, but will it be enough? Tuesday will bring a broken heart for Alexis, so she may not be able to get on the same page with Neil this Monday.

Over with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), he’ll join Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) at home and face questions about what he’s been up to.

Normally, Jason’s first in line to help during any Corinthos crisis. The fact that Jason wasn’t off tracking down Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) will baffle Sam.

Since Sam won’t understand what could be more important, she’ll push Jason to explain. That could be a tough task since Jason came to Marcus Taggert’s (Real Andrews) rescue – and Taggert’s dead to the public.

Jordan Ashford’s (Briana Nicole Henry) been keeping Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) in the dark, but what will Jason do? He’d better decide fast since Sam will put him on the spot.

Sam will also wind up blasting Valentin on Monday, so he’ll get an earful over his ELQ takeover. The deal Valentin made with Sam played a crucial role in giving Valentin control – and Sam’s not happy about it.

However, Valentin may argue that Sam’s at least happy with the results. There’s no belligerent parole officer standing in the way of “JaSam” now, so Valentin may push Sam to enjoy her victory while he enjoys his own.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Willow Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) mood will suddenly shift. Once Willow realized Wiley was in his own bed again, she rushed upstairs to see for herself. That led to a tearful hug between Willow and Michael, but Willow will end up yelling at her husband on Monday.

Willow will be taken aback by something Michael really should’ve told her sooner. Of course, GH spoilers can be trick to interpret at times. Willow might be worried about the head injury Michael sustained after Nelle’s sneak attack.

Then again, Michael might’ve failed to mention something related to Nelle and what happened in the mountains.

Regardless, a good married couple talks things out – and that’s exactly what “Millow” will do. Willow will battle regrets about her behavior later, so she might feel like she lashed out unnecessarily. It’s also possible Willow’s outburst will be coming from a place of concern, which could lead to a kiss if they’re not careful!

Willow and Michael are definitely growing closer, but it’s safe to say Willow would regret kissing Michael if she did it now. Since Willow’s still in love with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), she’d feel bad about moving too fast with Michael.

No matter how this plays out, Michael should be his usual patient and kind self.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Jax will breathe a sigh of relief. Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will nearly decide to come clean when Valerie Spencer (Paulina Bugembe) asks about Carly’s scuffle with Nelle and whether she was injured.

Instead, Carly will act like Nelle was fine and simply vanished following their showdown in the clearing.

Finally, Mike Corbin (Max Gail) will get a visit from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Sonny will continue to struggle as he reflects on the mistakes he’s made as a son. Although Mike’s made mistakes as well, Sonny will own up to his own blunders and try to savor what little time he has left with his dad.

During Sonny’s chat with his dad on Monday, Mike will surprise Sonny by squeezing his hand. It’ll let Sonny know Mike still understands on some level. Sonny won’t want Mike to stick around on his account, but it seems Mike’s not ready to go just yet.

General Hospital spoilers say Sonny has a very special day coming up – and it’ll probably be all about telling Mike goodbye, at least in a way. We’ll offer updates as other news pops up.
