General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, December 21, teases that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will fear the worst. Jason was stunned after the footbridge fell to pieces and sent Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) plummeting along with Julian Jerome’s (William deVry) corpse.
General Hospital spoilers say Jason will take a desperate swim and search as best as he can in the dark. Alas, Sonny will be MIA for the time being. Somebody nearby will urge Jason to bring a recovered dead body to him. Jason should be relieved to know it belongs to Julian rather than Sonny.
That means there’s hope, but Jason will still be fearful until he sees Sonny is alive with his own eyes. Unfortunately, Jason may not get the chance for a while. General Hospital spoilers point to an amnesia storyline for Sonny, but he has to turn up elsewhere first!
In the meantime, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will hang out with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and offer her perspective. For what it’s worth, Carly will think Dante’s got the right idea.
Dante has been struggling to reconnect with Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan), but Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) helped this distraught dad work out a solution.
Olivia feels confident Rocco can get used to living at home with Dante again. Things will be awkward for a while, but Olivia thinks Rocco and Dante need each other. Now that Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) is in a coma, it’s important for Dante and Rocco to stick together.
Nevertheless, Olivia doesn’t see why Rocco has to quit cold turkey when it comes to sleeping over at the Quartermaine mansion. Olivia suggested Rocco could still spend three nights a week or so at Grandma’s to help with Dante’s transition home.
Dante might bring Carly up to speed on all that and get more encouragement. Carly knows Dante and Rocco are already missing Lulu terribly, but she’ll trust that they can take things one step at a time.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Monday will also be a big day for Dante as he gets a sweet introduction. It’ll be time for Dante to meet his newest baby sister, Donna Corinthos (Ella and Emma Hulen), so that’ll bring a cute scene.
Speaking of babies, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is expecting one with Peter August (Wes Ramsey). They decided to wait on finding out if it’s a boy or a girl, but Maxie will fish to see if Peter might’ve changed his mind. Peter will be relieved to know they’re on the same page about that.
It won’t be long until Maxie pulls out a sealed envelope from her OB-GYN. Maxie will admit the baby’s gender is inside, so Maxie and Peter will decide to open that envelope and find out the surprise in advance.
Next, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will seem uneasy as he catches up with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Anna will confess that she has some updates – though she’ll fear Valentin isn’t going to like them.
This may involve a follow-up conversation on Dante and his troubling mental state. Anna may be somewhat concerned, but she may also advise against butting in any further.
While Anna and Valentin debate the situation, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will play some poker with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). Chase may invite Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) to join them for a guys’ night, so the three of them may have a chance to connect.
General Hospital spoilers say Finn will have a heart-to-heart with Gregory at some point. As the story goes, Finn was angry and hurt on his mother’s behalf when Gregory moved on with Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney). It happened far too quickly from where Finn was standing.
However, that was mostly a cover story since Finn slept with Jackie. He took Jackie to bed the night before her wedding to Gregory, so that’s the true reason Finn didn’t attend. Finn will allude to a different explanation for his behavior that day, but it’s doubtful his confession will include the steamy secret!
As for Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), he’ll agitate Florence Grey (Anne Collings) with his presence at her long-term care facility.
Cyrus will be looking for understanding and forgiveness, but Laura Collins (Genie Francis) won’t think he can expect any of that from his mother – not when Cyrus consistently proves he’s bad to the core.
