General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, June 1, teases that the drama’s about to heat up on another great Nurses Ball encore. GH fans will be treated to a classic episode that was first seen on May 25, 2016, so let’s dive in and see what’s in store. General Hospital spoilers say some terrific scenes are ahead in this throwback.
At the Nurses Ball, Emma Scorpio-Drake (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) helps Eddie Maine aka Ned Ashton (Wally Kurth) sing a lively number. Their version of “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” brings down the house!
Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) comes out on stage after the performance to praise the Quartermaines for all the money and effort they’ve put into supporting GH as well as the Nurses Ball.
Lucy also has kind things to say about the blended Scorpio-Drake-Devane bunch. As for the persistent performance crashing problem they’ve had in recent years, Lucy assures the crowd that the issue’s been addressed.
We see how when Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) discovers livid Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) bound and gagged in a dressing room.
Epiphany forces Liesl to be a bit more courteous, but she eventually frees Liesl and warns her to stay away from the stage. Later, Liesl winds up at GH and interrogates Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) about his old job.
Finn confirms that he quit, but he refuses to share the reason. Liesl insists she’ll keep digging for Finn’s secrets.
Back at the Nurses Ball, Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) is unconscious when Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) stumbles across her. Lucas is set to marry Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) soon, but he still wants to make sure Bobbie gets to GH for an examination.
Bobbie reluctantly goes along with Lucas’ wishes, but she pushes him to return to the ceremony once she’s settled. Lucas ends up forgetting something, so he comes back to Bobbie’s room and finds someone standing over her in a lab coat with a syringe. The confrontation results in Lucas being left out cold on the floor.
Back at the Nurses Ball, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is armed with a jump drive when she confronts Ava Jerome (Maura West). Ava learns Carly expects her to surrender custody of Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).
Carly whips out her phone to show off a sex tape of Ava and Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi), but Ava ends up laughing at the leverage.
Since Ava isn’t concerned about the tape getting out, Carly texts the video to Paul and threatens to post it online. As a result, Paul tracks down Ava and blackmails her into doing whatever Carly wants. Ava’s reminded that Paul has Ava’s recorded confession regarding Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan).
After Ava corners Carly again in the restroom, she pries the jump drive out of her and flushes it in a nearby toilet. Carly thinks there was no point in that since she made a copy and stored it in The Cloud. Ava fumes as Carly pushes her to accept defeat.
On the red carpet, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) enjoys some sweet moments with Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) before he asks her to be his guest for the evening.
In the ballroom, Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) reassures Jake Webber (Hudson West) about his upcoming performance. Franco suggests it can help if you imagine the crowd as a bunch of quacking ducks.
Lucy realizes the “Brucas” wedding will have to be delayed, so she talks Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) into joining the Magic Milo act and notes that Jake’s act will be moved up. Jake freaks out a bit and chokes on stage, but Franco gets up there with him.
He quacks and puts Jake at ease. Jake’s able to sing with Franco’s help, so Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) finds his son later to share how proud he is.
Jake thinks he couldn’t have done it without Franco. Jason forces a smile, but he divulges his concerns to Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) later. He feels like Franco is working Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and manipulating Jake, too.
Although Jason feels Franco is a threat, he doesn’t know how to make Liz see things his way.
Magic Milo and the Magic Wands perform next, but Griffin battles guilt for letting Lucy talk him into it so fast. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) insists he has nothing to feel guilty about, but Griffin still looks uneasy.
Over with Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher), he prevents Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) from revealing new info about the shooting that caused Hayden’s coma. Hayden makes another attempt later, but Nikolas once again intervenes.
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) spots Nikolas dragging Hayden away from Jordan and makes it clear that Nik should let her go.
Back with Jason, he’s stunned when Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennessy) reveals Nikolas is slapping him with a lawsuit. It’s over ELQ shares being bought with illegal funds.
Jason points out that Diane said the money was clean, but she counters that Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) is the best in the biz when it comes to money laundering.
Diane assures Jason there won’t be a problem in the end, but there’s one right now since ELQ’s assets have been frozen. On stage again, Lucy makes a speech and introduces the grooms for the wedding. Brad comes out, but Lucas doesn’t make an entrance when his name is called.
Sam looks worried about what might’ve happened to Lucas. Of course, Lucas is unconscious on the floor of Bobbie’s room at GH! This Nurses Ball classic had some memorable moments, so be sure to do a rewatch! As other news becomes available, we’ll deliver updates.
