General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, October 22, teases that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will have Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) will on his mind. It looks like Sonny will receive some news about this will, so he’ll fill Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) in.
Sonny may want to organize a will reading so they can all hear whatever Mike bequeathed as well as any last words of wisdom.
However, Jason will also give Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) some attention on Thursday. Carly will be a bit of a mess as she talks about something she’s supposed to remember. No matter what that something is, Carly will focus on closure this Thursday.
Although Carly wants to forget all about Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier), she can’t do that just yet. Carly will have a hard time finding a way forward – and that’ll be tough for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), too.
In the cemetery, Nina will reflect on Nelle’s difficult life and wish she’d had a better one.
By the new headstone, Nina may acknowledge that Nelle had no guidance and felt alone. Perhaps Nina will contend that if a loving mother had been there for Nelle during her rough patches, she could’ve had a better outcome.
Naturally, Nina won’t know she just buried her own daughter – at least if you believe Nelle’s actually dead!
Other General Hospital spoilers say Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will have a tense discussion with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher). Nina has already suffered the devastation of gaining and losing a daughter through Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), who posed as Nina’s long-lost child.
Valentin may take responsibility for hurting Nina, but at least his heart was in the right place. Since Nina had her hopes up, Valentin couldn’t bear the thought of coming up empty-handed.
Now that Jax is helping Nina with another search for her long-lost child, Valentin will remind him of what’s at stake.
Valentin may not think Nina could handle a second crushing blow, so he’ll push Jax to make sure there’s a son or daughter to be found. Of course, Jax may wonder if Valentin’s implying that he should manipulate Nina.
Jax certainly won’t be willing to offer another fraud – and he won’t intend to deny Nina the truth if her child is deceased.
Will Jax have to rethink that after Nelle’s necklace surfaces? We can’t forget that Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) still has the half-heart pendant in her possession.
Sooner or later, that necklace will be discovered and could lead to a horrifying conclusion for Jax. He may be tempted to conceal the truth after all, particularly since there’s so much suspicion swirling around Carly.
For now, Carly’s attempt at closure should take her to Woodlawn, where Nelle is now buried. GH spoilers say Nina and Carly’s feud will erupt on Friday, so Carly should show up on Thursday and kick that off.
Since Carly objected to Nina making these burial arrangements, Nina may think Carly’s basically coming to spit on Nelle’s grave and make trouble.
Across town, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) should get updates on the annulment from Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen). Part of Willow may wonder if Chase would take a second chance if he could have one, though she may not say it.
Regardless, Chase will talk about how Willow should hold on to something. Maybe Chase will think they should remember that sliver in time when they were content, not dwell on how it all fell apart.
Chase may think there’s no going back. We might even see Chase encourage Willow to hang in there with Michael and let herself enjoy her family.
An inquisitive Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will approach and wonder what Chase is suggesting, but Chase may brush it off as nothing. He knows Willow and Michael still think he’s a rotten cheater, so Chase might insist that how they proceed now is strictly up to them.
Finally, General Hospital spoilers say Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will get honest about how this marriage of convenience has become far more.
Nikolas has developed genuine feelings for Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), so he’ll pressure her to bare her soul, too. If Ava feels the same, Nikolas will want to know.
Ava may fear this is more manipulation, but Nikolas will work to convince her this is very real for him. It took a lot for Nikolas to reach this place of acceptance, so he’ll push Ava to do the same and meet him halfway.
Even if Nikolas faces a little more resistance from Ava initially, General Hospital spoilers suggest Ava will cave in at some point. We’ll keep you posted as other GH details emerge.
