General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Tuesday, August 25, teases that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will hope for a positive outcome. Despite the kiss Nikolas and Ava Cassadine (Maura West) shared, they’re trying to convince themselves they hate each other and nothing more. The truth is clearly far more complicated, but Nikolas will stick to his goal anyway.
In a phone chat with Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel), Nikolas will confess their scheme went up in smoke. Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) blabbed while Ava eavesdropped, so Nikolas and Spencer will be back at square one.
Even so, Nikolas will feel confident in another plan that could rid Ava from their lives forever. Spencer will get reassurance that it’ll all work out in the end.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will question why Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) hasn’t shown faith in her. It looks like Franco and Liz will revisit the topic of Ava and Nikolas manipulating them, but that only happened because they allowed it.
Elizabeth may wonder why Franco doubted her when it came to the nature of her relationship with Nikolas.
Despite Ava’s suggestion that Elizabeth was “chronically unfaithful,” there’s really no reason for Franco to think she’d betray him. Liz and Franco just have to remind each other of their love and the vows they made.
It appears things will start moving in a better direction for these two once they talk this out. As for Nikolas and Ava, perhaps a little payback manipulation could be in store for them.
Next, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will toss some threats around as usual. When Cyrus senses that someone’s going to create issues for him, he’ll decide to nip it in the bud.
Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) might need a reminder of what’s at stake, but this actually looks like it could be somebody else – maybe someone connected to GH.
Cyrus is the chairman of the hospital board now, so he’s got too much power as far as many Port Charles residents are concerned. Nevertheless, Cyrus will hope to maintain his authority and strike fear into hearts when necessary.
Speaking of fear, Julian Jerome (William deVry) will definitely worry about the mess he’s gotten himself into. Ava will track down her brother at Charlie’s Pub and express curiosity about Nelle Benson Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) latest move. Julian will still look uneasy as Ava asks what Nelle wanted him to do this time.
There’s a good chance Julian will admit to or at least heavily hint at most of the abduction drama. Julian swiped Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) from his room after knocking Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) out with chloroform.
Then, Julian nearly shot Nelle on the pier before Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) got in his way.
When Ava realizes Julian was part of this Wiley kidnapping plot, she’s sure to scold him. The fact that Julian let Nelle get the upper hand should be particularly infuriating to Ava.
Thankfully, Nelle will find herself at a major disadvantage soon. It sounds like Nelle will find it harder to bolt with Wiley than she anticipated.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will let Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) know there’s nothing to fret about.
Nelle can’t escape Sonny’s wrath, so he’ll make that crystal clear! Sonny’s got plenty of resources – and so do the cops, who are working tirelessly with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) leading the charge.
While Nelle faces a roadblock in her abduction scheme, Michael will do some speculating. He’ll form a theory, so this might involve Wiley’s stuffed kangaroo. Michael might remember how odd it was that Nelle wanted Wiley to have that teddy bear.
Nelle provoked Willow that day, which caused a distraction and gave her enough time to swap the tracker into the kangaroo pouch instead.
If Michael speculates that a tracking device is inside Mr. Hopsicle, maybe Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) can figure out Nelle’s whereabouts. On the pier, Taggert will probably give Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) a brief explanation for his return from the dead.
However, it’s important for Taggert to keep the charade going – and that means he may nix a trip to GH.
Taggert has some injuries due to Julian fighting him off, but he’s survived worse. There’s a good chance Taggert will shake it off and hope he can keep Cyrus in the dark on secret.
Over with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), she’ll have news on Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Briana Lane) condition. Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will just want to know if his daughter’s going to be OK or not!
Portia should have some positive updates – at least when it comes to Brook Lynn’s survival. Brook Lynn isn’t going to die, but her singing career may have been dead on arrival! After that horrific throat slashing, there’s probably going to be some vocal cord damage that’ll kill Brook Lynn’s superstar dream.
General Hospital spoilers say Brook Lynn will have a lot to cope with when she awakens. For now, Ned will get support from Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and ultimately sob by his daughter’s bedside.
Ned will wait for Brook Lynn to regain consciousness so he can remind her of his love and deliver a heartfelt apology.
It sounds like the action’s heating up in Port Charles, so keep watching General Hospital! CDL will have all the sizzling General Hospital spoilers, updates and news you need, so stop by often for the latest details.
