General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Tuesday, August 4, tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will feel overwhelmed by the choice he’s facing. Mike Corbin (Max Gail) didn’t specify what he wanted before his Alzheimer’s became too severe. As a result, Sonny’s left to figure out what exactly his dad would want.
Anyone can see that Mike’s suffering and has no real quality of life. Even so, there are fleeting moments when Mike seems to enjoy himself – like when Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) visited him. Sonny hates to rob Mike of those moments if there are more to come.
Mike could be kept alive a bit longer, but it’d really just be delaying the inevitable – and Mike would continue to suffer in the meantime. Sonny will have all these complex thoughts swirling around when Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) walks in on Tuesday.
Carly will realize Sonny’s struggling, so she’ll give him some comfort and a few words of wisdom.
Later, Carly will talk to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) about something that Jason feels is a lot to ask. Unfortunately, there’ll be nobody else to handle this task. Jason may be referring to the position Mike’s left Sonny in.
Then again, this could be about some challenge that Jason’s up against instead. Either way, Jason and Carly will support Sonny as well as each other.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will have to make a decision of her own. GH fans know Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) tried to bribe Brook Lynn with the promise of a thriving music career.
Valentin can give Brook Lynn the visibility she needs and set her up to become a big success.
The catch is Brook Lynn will have to betray her family if she accepts Valentin’s offer. Brook Lynn could thwart Valentin’s takeover plot if she spills to Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), but it doesn’t look like she will.
Instead, Ned will remain determined to get to the bottom of ELQ’s latest threat. Brook Lynn may stay quiet for now, but this secret’s destined to blow by the time next week rolls around!
Until then, Valentin will concentrate on Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and how she might be able to help his ELQ takeover efforts. Since Valentin previously mentioned trying to get his hands on the shares of Sam’s kids, that’s probably his angle here.
General Hospital spoilers say Sam will be surprised by Valentin’s proposal in the coming episodes.
Meanwhile, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) will be devoted to a cause. Perhaps Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will pass along updates and get Monica fired up about preventing Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) money laundering.
Laura has no intention of letting Cyrus’ dirty drug money get washed through GH! Monica could easily join Laura’s fight to save General Hospital another way.
Over with Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry), she’ll make it clear that the road ahead won’t be easy for Cyrus. GH viewers know Cyrus thinks he’s invincible, but he obviously isn’t. That’s especially true since Cyrus has made Sonny his number one enemy.
Jordan will suggest that something’s going to be a lot harder than Cyrus thinks, so her warning may be about taking over Sonny’s turf. Cyrus and Sonny’s truce isn’t going to last, so Jordan may try and fail to spook Cyrus about his latest nemesis.
Jordan might even argue that evading justice in general will be more difficult than Cyrus expects. However, Cyrus has proven that he doesn’t scare easily!
Next, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will deal with an outraged Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier). Nelle was positively livid after Nina turned against her in court.
She just showed up at Crimson to confront the backstabber, but Nina will think Nelle’s got it all wrong. Nelle is bad news, so Nina had to be honest about her newest Crimson hire.
Nina vowed to testify and pointed out it was something she could do for Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson). She never promised to sing Nelle’s praises in court. Nina will feel like she stayed true to her word by doing what was best for Nelle and Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) son.
As for angry Nelle, she’ll undoubtedly warn Nina that she’ll get her revenge sooner or later! Nina dropped her half of the heart pendant on the carpet, but it looks like Nelle will remain oblivious for the time being.
GH will save that bomb for a later date, so keep watching for more shockers. CDL’s the place to be for terrific General Hospital spoilers, updates and news, so be sure to stop by frequently.
