General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, December 30, teases that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will be anxious to hear about this weak spot that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) has alluded to.
Carly will insist that if Laura knows where Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) might be vulnerable, then please share! Anything that could help the Corinthos clan stand against Cyrus right now should be a good thing.
With that in mind, Laura should explain how she found out Cyrus was her half-brother along with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight). Laura can tell that Cyrus’ kryptonite is his dear mother, Florence Grey (Annie Abbott), who doesn’t respect Cyrus and still blames him for Gordon Grey’s death.
Cyrus is obviously desperate to earn some kind of approval and forgiveness from Florence, so Carly should find this information intriguing and helpful. General Hospital spoilers say Laura will inspire a new plan on Wednesday.
General Hospital spoilers say the wheels will start turning for Carly, who should be happy to do some plotting and keep her mind off missing Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for a while.
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will receive updates from Carly eventually, but he’ll be busy escaping death first. GH fans know Cyrus has already tried to take Jason out more than once – using his twisted minions of course.
Jason promised Carly that he’d come home and that’s a promise he intends to keep, but there’ll be some risky moments on Wednesday.
Cyrus will contend that a shift in perspective is what Jason needs. Maybe Cyrus will argue that they don’t have to be enemies – particularly now that Sonny’s no longer around to give orders. Cyrus might argue that Jason can call the shorts and make this a mutually beneficial alliance.
However, Jason knows Cyrus can’t be trusted and their operations don’t have the same focus. Cyrus is all about using drugs to score big profits, but that’s not something Sonny and Jason can get on board with. Jason would never go against Sonny, even in his absence.
As a result, Jason will shut down any chance of a deal and make it clear that Cyrus had better not cross any lines. Too bad Cyrus will cross one right away! It appears one of Cyrus’ goons will be in hiding during this meeting.
When it becomes apparent that Jason is standing his ground against Cyrus, someone will likely fire a shot and narrowly miss Jason.
Luckily, Jason isn’t someone you can easily get the upper hand on. He’ll draw his own weapon and probably body slam this guy onto the docks. General Hospital’s preview video for Wednesday shows Jason looking like a total boss as he barks, “You come after me again and you’re dead.”
Jason may vow to kill Cyrus’ goon and Cyrus himself if things escalate any further.
At the Metro Court, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will raise an eyebrow over Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) new attitude. “Since when did you become my biggest fan?” Olivia asks.
Tracy might act like she’s always been fond of Olivia, but Olivia will feel like there’s been a weird change here. It’ll be strange for Olivia to feel like’s suddenly being showered with compliments.
Of course, there’s a good reason for this attitude adjustment since Tracy knows Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) went to bed with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). Tracy will work to keep that info under wraps and make Olivia seem like a perfect saint of a wife.
Olivia will remain in the dark for now, but her suspicions could intensify thanks to Tracy’s blunder next week.
In the meantime, Ned will have to go deal with a friend’s crisis. Will it be Alexis who needs Ned’s assistance? It’s possible Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will summon Ned for backup.
Finn will cross paths with Alexis and quickly realize she’s plastered. Alexis is fine with her drinking and this blatant path of destruction, so her acceptance of this lifestyle is perhaps what’s most troubling.
Finn will try to tell Alexis how worried she is, but Alexis won’t particularly care. She may think Finn needs to worry about his own issues and let her live her life. Alexis will contend that “the bitch” is back, but that part is bleeped out in Wednesday’s GH preview clip. Even so, Alexis will fully mean what she says.
Whether Alexis is referring to the drunk side of herself or Tracy’s latest return stint, Finn will just wish he could help Alexis somehow. The same goes for Ned if Alexis is the friend he rushes to help. As for Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison), he’ll have a front-row seat for the hot mess that Alexis has become!
Across town, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) will have a truthful conversation. Jackie will want to just tackle the elephant in the room head-on, so she’ll get right down to the heart of it.
Anna knows Jackie slept with Finn the evening before her nuptials to Gregory, so Jackie may get confirmation on that and share her side of the story.
Anna has also been curious about Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) paternity. Jackie assured Finn that the timing wouldn’t work for him to be the father, but is that really true? Will Anna even want to know? We’ll see what Jackie has to say on the topic if Anna dares to bring it up.
It’s not like Anna really has room to talk when it comes to lying in that department. Anna’s hiding the fact that she’s Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) aunt, not his mother.
The bio mom title belongs to Alex Devane Marick (Finola Hughes), but Peter’s out of the loop – and even Finn is unaware that Anna knows for certain.
Secrets and lies always lead to trouble in soap relationships, so look for some major blowups in the months ahead. We’ll pass along more details as other GH news rolls in.
