General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, September 16, tease that Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) death episode is on the way. Whether you’re dreading Mike’s demise or are eager to see this story wrap up, this is indeed the end of the road.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) just admitted he’s a bit baffled by something. He feels like Mike needs something from his son – some form of peace before he goes.
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will hear the latest news from Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), who’ll worry about the tough position Sonny’s in. However, Jason will believe Sonny can figure out what Mike needs and exactly how to give it to him.
Sonny had some issues with his dad in the past, but they have an incredible bond now – one that’ll be on full display in Wednesday’s episode.
Just like Mike’s other loved ones, Sonny will sit by Mike’s bedside and imagine another world with healthy Mike in it. These fantasies have offered sweet glimpses of how things might’ve played out if Mike hadn’t become ill. Sadly, Mike’s in the final stage of Alzheimer’s and doesn’t have much time left.
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will do some reflecting with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) by his side on Wednesday.
GH viewers can expect some concerns for Michael, who’ll be unsure about whether he should share something with Willow. It’ll be an admission that Michael fears would offer a negative perception.
Of course, Willow has known Michael long enough to realize he’s good to the core. There’s nothing Michael could say to convince Willow otherwise, so she’ll invite him to open up. Michael might have some confession that connects to Mike and maybe Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier), too.
Although Michael has assured Willow that she’s Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos’ (Erik and Theo Olson) “real mom” now, he could still fret over Wiley’s mother issues in the future.
Wiley’s sure to have questions about Nelle one day – questions that’ll be difficult for Michael to answer. Michael might worry that Wiley won’t be able to seek the closure Sonny’s found with Mike.
Whatever the case, Willow will give Michael support and will remind him that they’re in this together. No matter what problems come along down the road, Willow and Michael are determined to tackle them as a team.
There’s nothing more important than Wiley, but Michael and Willow’s relationship is growing stronger every day.
Over with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), she’ll feel like Mike’s more aware than his family knows. When Joss talked with Mike, there was still a sense of connection – even though Mike couldn’t respond.
Joss will share her thoughts with Carly before bonding with Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor), who’ll drop by Turning Woods for his own farewell moment with Mike.
Back with Sonny, he’ll finally realize it’s permission that Mike needs to pass on. Sonny previously told his father it was OK to go when he was ready, but that was before Mike’s latest decline.
Now that Mike’s hovering between life and death, he needs a little push toward the other side. Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) will encourage Sonny to give Mike that push for both their sakes.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will have some tearful final scenes with Mike, who’ll be given the permission he’s hoping for. Sonny will once again let Mike know it’s OK to let go, so Mike will perish and leave a grieving family behind. We’ll offer updates as other details emerge.
