General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) could face some harsh accusations after she’s revealed as the other half-heart pendant owner. GH fans know Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is desperate to meet this mystery daughter of hers and hopefully reunite. Nina will eventually get the reunion she’s dreaming of, but Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) may not buy that it’s legit.
Once Nina spots Nelle’s necklace, she may decide right then and there that this must be her little girl all grown up. Nina has already been bonding with Nelle and sees a lot of herself in her.
One look at that necklace could tell Nina why. Despite everything that happened with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), Nina may know in her heart that she’s got it right this time: Nelle is her biological daughter.
GH viewers will recall that Young Nelle (Willa Rose) had the necklace on the flashbacks of her childhood. General Hospital spoilers also confirm Nelle is the real deal.
However, it’s easy to imagine Valentin being skeptical after doing such a thorough search and coming up empty. Valentin may think it’s awfully convenient that Nelle happens to have this necklace now.
What are the odds that Nelle – Charlotte Cassadine’s (Scarlett Fernandez) former nanny and someone who had previously bonded with Nina – is Nina’s biological child?
Where was this good luck charm of Nelle’s before? The truth is GH writers just hadn’t invented the story yet, but that means Valentin will have some valid concerns since Nelle’s such a schemer.
Valentin might accuse Nelle of finding the necklace at Crimson and making a copy. He may be first in line to demand a DNA test and warn that he won’t let Nina get her heart broken all over again.
Of course, Nelle will undoubtedly tell her version of events and reveal how that necklace came into her possession. It’s clearly something Nelle’s had since she was just a kid.
Nevertheless, Valentin may argue that Nelle’s running some kind of scam. Since Valentin will think Nelle’s pretty much the worst possible daughter for Nina, he may root for this DNA test to prove Nelle isn’t her child.
Even so, part of Valentin might worry that Nelle’s being honest for once – even if he’s calling her a liar to her face.
Again, GH spoilers offer confirmation that Nina is Nelle’s bio mom. That could change through a rewrite later, but Nelle is definitely Nina’s biological child at this point in the story. We’ll pass along updates as other GH news rolls in.
