General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that a new sneak peek video offers a glimpse of Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) sneaky plan. GH fans know Valentin summoned Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) to the hospital following the near-death experience Alex Devane Marick (Finola Hughes) set in motion.
That got Valentin thinking about his will and Charlotte Cassadine’s (Scarlett Fernandez) custody agreement, which Valentin hoped to revise.
Valentin argued that he wanted Charlotte to be protected in case something happened to him – especially now that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is back in the picture. Valentin has concerns about Dante’s mental stability, so that’s part of the equation.
However, another part of it is simply that Valentin and Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) don’t get along. That’s highlighted in the new sneak peek video that General Hospital released on ABC.com. On the episode that airs Monday, November 16, Valentin meets with Martin again to discuss the details of what he wants.
When it becomes clear this is about ensuring Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) gets custody in the event of Valentin’s death, Martin brings up some issues. He tells Valentin that if Charlotte were an apartment building, then she could be signed over to Nina. Since Charlotte is a child and not the property Valentin is making her out to be, this won’t be easy.
“Well, you better figure it out,” Valentin warns. “If something happens to me, I will not have my daughter’s biological mother filling her head with how awful I am.”
Martin points out that Valentin made a “dumpster fire” out of things with Nina, so he’ll wonder what makes Valentin think she’ll have anything nicer to say!
Nevertheless, Valentin obviously trusts that Nina would be the better option here. Valentin acknowledges that he doesn’t have the power to take Charlotte from Lulu, which leads Martin to respond with “ding, ding.”
Martin really won’t see any way for Valentin to achieve this goal of his, but Valentin will explain what he’s thinking.
“But what I do have the power to do is to offer her a fairy godmother, if you will,” Valentin suggests. “A warm and loving presence in her life who already thinks she’s wonderful and who has full legal right to her. That’s where you come in.” Martin then awaits the rest of Valentin’s plan, which he’ll do his best to pull off.
Valentin’s mission is happening at an interesting time considering Nina is giving up the search for her missing daughter – and Lulu seems to be on the verge of a deadly exit. Valentin’s legal maneuvering isn’t going to matter much on the Lulu front since she’s probably the one who’ll face an untimely death, not him!
