General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, April 15, reveal that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) arrived in the Corinthos kitchen to see Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Jason launched into an update on Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), who’s been staying at the Cosmopolitan Hotel since Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) kicked him out of the Metro Court. Jason reported that Cyrus has had several visitors, including the associate who shot Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews).
Later, after Jason had gone, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) dropped by to pick up Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) for Violet Barnes’ (Jophielle Love) birthday party.
Ava left with Avery, but Nikolas stayed behind at Sonny’s request. Nikolas apologized for not coming to see Sonny sooner, and Sonny blasted Nikolas for choosing to betray Spencer Cassadine (Nicola Bechtel).
Sonny noted that he talks or texts every evening with Spencer and that Spencer has been seriously affected by Nikolas’ actions. Sonny called Nikolas a coward, and Nikolas fired back that he did what he did because of Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Sonny didn’t buy it and told Nikolas to stay away from the people he loved going forward.
Sonny noted that Nikolas wasn’t really sorry – rather, he was proud to be back in Wyndemere – and that if Nikolas did anything that touched Spencer, then he’d intervene. Nikolas said he understood and left somberly.
Meanwhile, over at Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) house, the birthday party for Violet began. Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) arrived with a piñata, relieving Finn who was worried that the delivery person was late.
In another area, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) discussed how Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) took the news that Maxie was working for Valentin.
Under the staircase, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) produced a bag containing a snake. Charlotte told the snake that they were going to have fun at the party. Charlotte hid the bag under the staircase and rejoined the party after arguing a bit with Lulu about why she wasn’t outside with the other kids.
Later, Anna exclaimed, “No!” as Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) produced a big present for Violet. Turns out, it was some bizarre musical instrument, which Robert played happily for Violet.
Meanwhile, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) asked Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) whether he had gone overboard with the party. Elizabeth said no, and that Violet already knew that Finn was a great dad.
Ava and Avery arrived for the party and talked a bit with Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) over some popcorn, while Robert and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) discussed Dante Falconeri (Dominick Zamprogna).
Robert sadly reported to Olivia that there was no information from the WSB to indicate that Dante’s condition has improved. Olivia said that she wasn’t giving up hope as long as Dante was alive.
While Charlotte checked on her snake under the staircase, Finn, Chase, and Willow discussed the piñata nearby, then left the piñata sitting near the stairs. Chase and Finn moved to a different area and discussed Willow’s deep lingering concern for Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) and her concern about the upcoming custody hearing.
Outside, Anna talked with Jason, who dropped by to give Anna the heads up about Cyrus being released from prison. Jason fished for information about whether the WSB had ever gone after Cyrus, but Anna said that she couldn’t talk about that.
Suddenly, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Danny Morgan (Porter Fasullo) walked up and Danny asked if Jason could come to the party.
Jason explained that he couldn’t come inside, and that he wouldn’t be around for a while. Danny seemed deflated. Willow and Chase headed out for a walk to clear their heads, and Ava had a tense conversation with Charlotte, who complained that she missed her home.
Ava gently explained that Wyndemere now belonged to her and Nikolas, which miffed Charlotte.
Lulu walked up as Charlotte walked off, and Lulu and Ava spoke briefly. Ava indicated that she’d like them to become better acquainted as sisters-in-law, and Lulu avoided the topic, asking Ava to help steer Charlotte clear of any Nikolas/Valentin battles.
Lulu then spoke briefly to Peter, warning him that Maxie was in for trouble working with Valentin.
Charlotte again checked on her snake under the staircase while Ava and Franco talked nearby. After Ava and Franco walked away, Charlotte eyed the piñata, which was still sitting nearby.
Meanwhile, in the living room, Anna caught Finn in a pensive moment, as he was thinking about Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig). Finn wondered if he should write Violet a letter from her mother, but ultimately decided against it since it might imply that Hayden would return.
Anna comforted Finn and asked if Violet had asked about Hayden recently. Finn said no, and Anna advised him to let Violet work through things at her own pace. Charlotte then walked in carrying the piñata and Finn took it from her.
Charlotte looked back at the piñata as Finn carried it off, telling Finn to be careful because he didn’t want any of the candy to fall out. Finn then set the piñata down.
