General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Wednesday, April 22, tease that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will have a startling realization. At the Metro Court, Alexis will put it all together and determine that Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy) set her up. “You’re damn right I did,” Diane says in Wednesday’s preview video.
It’s possible this goes back to Alexis’ night at the opera with Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan), which was a night filled with far too many coincidences! Plus, there was that opera house employee who seemed just a bit too involved in Neil and Alexis’ love story.
The whole thing seemed like something that Diane might’ve arranged – especially since she gave the opera ticket to Alexis in the first place.
Whether Diane played matchmaker or not, things will remain complicated for Alexis and Neil. However, that’s not the only complex relationship Alexis needs to focus on.
Alexis also needs to concentrate on her bond with her daughter, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). That’s another setup possibility to consider since Diane may have arranged for Sam and Alexis to talk.
GH fans know Sam lashed out at Alexis and drove her to drink as a result. Sam truly regrets the hurtful things she said in the heat of the moment. General Hospital spoilers say Sam will offer an apology, which Alexis will undoubtedly accept.
The truth hurts – and that’s honestly part of why Alexis was so upset. Sam was right since Alexis isn’t quite the bold risktaker that Sam used to know.
Even so, Sam shouldn’t have been so hateful to her mother. Alexis will appreciate Sam’s apology, so they should be able to move past their latest bump in the road.
At Crimson, Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will find a way to connect. Nina will get to know Nelle a bit better, so that’ll help her bond with Nelle and offer up some good advice.
General Hospital spoilers say Nina will suggest that if the opportunity presents itself, Nelle should take it. Perhaps Nina will try to steer Nelle in the direction of compromising and maintaining peace with the Corinthos clan. It really is what’s best for Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson).
Since Nelle really does seem to care about Nelle – at least as much as twisted Nelle can – maybe Nina can get through to her somehow. Then again, Nina might deliver some instructions involving business opportunities and her own path to success.
Whatever the case, General Hospital spoilers say Nina and Nelle will manage to bond in Wednesday’s episode. Little do they know they’re mother and daughter!
Next, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will give Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) some heartbreaking news. After Willow insists Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) are having an affair, Michael may struggle to believe that.
Willow will assure Michael that it’s true and will explain everything that just went down back at the apartment. It’d be nice if Willow and Michael could use their brains here. Based on the sudden turnaround in Chase and Sasha’s attitudes as well as the timing, common sense should tell Michael and Willow this is a trick.
General Hospital spoilers point to a debate between Willow and Chase next week, so Michael may indeed convince Willow this is a way to push them to marry.
The fact that Chase and Sasha would go this far says a lot about how they feel. Even if Willow and Michael determine it was a setup, they may see that marrying is indeed what they need to do.
In the meantime, Sasha will have second thoughts about the pain they’ve caused. However, Chase will stand by their plan as what’s best for both Michael and Willow.
Wednesday’s preview video shows Chase asking, “Do you honestly think they’d be happier with us or with Wiley?” Sasha may agree that Wiley is what’s most important. Michael and Willow would never climb out of their inevitable funk if they lost Wiley to Nelle.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will stop by Turning Woods, but Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will doubt her reason for showing up. Liz might claim she wanted to make sure Mike was all right, but Sonny will suspect she has something more specific in mind to talk about.
No matter how all this plays out, GH fans can expect Liz to concentrate on her son this Wednesday. Will Liz have concerns about Jake Webber (Hudson West)?
Jason’s been all about protecting Sam, Danny Morgan (Porter Fasullo) and Scout Cain (Emma Ramacieri), but he has another son with Liz who could be at risk during this Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) drama.
It’s possible Liz will want to have a conversation about any danger that might be brewing. Then again, Liz might shift gears and focus on Cameron Webber (William Lipton).
Liz has been concerned about Cam since he was involved in that shootout, so she might turn to Neil again and hope for more therapy sessions. Regardless, family will definitely come first for Liz in Wednesday’s episode.
