General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, April 22, teases that Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will unknowingly have some mother-daughter bonding time. Nina doesn’t realize Nelle is her biological daughter yet, but that won’t stop her maternal instincts from kicking in. As Nina gets to know Nelle on a deeper level, she’ll find herself dishing out advice.
Nina will talk to Nelle about taking advantage of opportunities when they come along. While Nina imparts her words of wisdom, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) will second-guess the plan she just carried out with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). It’s clear that this faux betrayal plot has pretty much destroyed the pretend cheaters.
Sasha may wonder if they should just come clean and try to explain their actions. Nevertheless, Chase will think this is the only way to convince Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to wed.
Chase will push Sasha to really think about this. Would Michael and Willow honestly be happier with them or with Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson)?
In the end, Sasha and Chase should agree this is for the best. Michael and Willow just wouldn’t be able to handle it if they lost custody of Wiley to Nelle. That’s why Chase and Sasha had to get out of the way.
Of course, this “affair” is a devastating blow for Willow – one that she’ll continue to cope with in Wednesday’s GH episode. It won’t be long until Willow updates Michael on how they’ve been betrayed.
Michael will look confused over this “affair” news and may suspect something’s amiss. Nevertheless, Willow will be adamant that she knows what she saw. Chase also made a convincing and terribly hurtful speech that made things crystal clear from Willow’s perspective.
Even so, Michael and Willow will look pretty dense if they don’t at least consider the possibility this was a trick. However, this storyline is clearly taking some bold leaps, so we shouldn’t expect too much in the logic department!
Other General Hospital spoilers say Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will have a mysterious meeting with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). It appears Liz will pop in at Turning Woods, where she may visit Mike Corbin (Max Gail) briefly. Liz will likely talk to Sonny about Mike’s condition, but Sonny will sense that Liz has something else on her mind.
Sonny will encourage Liz to open up about whatever it is, so Liz should eventually spill all. General Hospital spoilers say Liz will concentrate on her son on Wednesday – although there’s no confirmation on which one.
It’s possible Liz will be a bit worried for Jake Webber (Hudson West), who’s Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) son and could get tangled up in Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) web.
It’s also possible Liz will seek someone else’s help with a different son. Cameron Webber (William Lipton) has been dealing with a lot of trauma since his near-death experience.
Since Cam’s first session with Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) went well, Liz may want to make sure Cameron keeps up the good work. Therapy seems to be helping Cam heal, which is all Liz wants.
Over with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), she’ll realize she’s been set up. After Alexis calls Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy) out on it, Diane won’t bother denying it. In fact, Diane will seem pretty pleased with herself for making it happen. Naturally, we have to wonder what setup Diane is referring to.
General Hospital spoilers say Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will sit down with them right as Alexis is making this comment. Since Sam and Alexis need to hash things out, maybe that was part of Diane’s plan. She might have arranged this so that Sam could apologize – and Sam will indeed apologize for the troubling things she said to Alexis recently.
There are also some unresolved questions about that night at the opera house, which brought Alexis and Neil together in New York. Since Diane offer Alexis a ticket to that and Neil ended up in the seat right next to her, maybe something fishy was going on.
That employee seemed to be in on some sort of plan, so there’s a chance GH will revisit all that and reveal Diane as the mastermind.
Regardless, Alexis will ultimately focus on Sam’s heartfelt apology. Although Sam’s words strung, they were true for the most part. Sam ranted about Alexis not taking risks and fighting like she used to.
Alexis was crushed and driven to drink at the time, but she bounced back quickly. Thankfully, Alexis and Davis will get their relationship back on track quickly as well.
