General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 26, reveal that Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) showed up at a safe house to find Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) there. “Where am I and what is going on?” Epiphany demanded. “One of your patients needs your help,” Jason said. Epiphany then saw Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) in the bed and tended to him.
Later, Epiphany told Jason that Taggert was lucky, as the bullet had gone through his shoulder cleanly. Jason said that he guessed that Epiphany was involved in faking Taggert’s death, but Epiphany said that was her business and her secret. Epiphany then took off, saying that Jason did good by calling her.
At the hospital, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) talked with Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and hoped that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane) would know something about Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos’ (Erik and Theo Olson) abduction.
In Brook Lynn’s room, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) told Brook Lynn that he was sorry and wrong for kicking her out of the mansion. As he talked, Brook Lynn flashed back to her attack and got agitated.
Sonny then walked in, asking for a moment with Brook Lynn. Sonny asked Brook Lynn to nod if Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) attacked her, and Brook Lynn nodded.
Sonny asked if there was more, and Brook Lynn nodded, then tried to write something for Sonny, but she was too drugged to write. Epiphany then came in with a doctor and shooed everyone out of the room.
The doctor told Brook Lynn not to try to speak, as it would harm her vocal chords.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) were waiting for word on Wiley when Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) arrived and got up to speed on everything that had happened.
Jax reassured Willow, saying that someone would spot Nelle and Wiley soon.
At the police station, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) arrived and got up to speed on the hunt for Nelle. Sasha told Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) that she was sorry this was happening, and she asked if Willow was there.
Michael said that Willow was back at the Q mansion. Sasha spoke briefly with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), who thanked her for being so concerned about Wiley.
Meanwhile, a cop brought Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) Nelle’s phone, which they found abandoned near her car. Michael took the phone to try to unlock it, but had no luck guessing the password.
Back at the hospital, Sonny called Carly, who was still at the police station. Sonny told Carly that Brook Lynn confirmed that Nelle was her attacker.
Meanwhile, Olivia called Willow, who was at the Q mansion, and updated her on Nelle being Brook Lynn’s attacker.
Out in the countryside, the young woman who gave directions to Nelle saw the amber alert and recognized Nelle and Wiley. The young woman called the police immediately.
Meanwhile, Nelle and Wiley arrived at their destination and went inside. Nelle was certain that the police were looking for them, but she thought that they’d never think to look for them there.
Back at the hospital, Sonny called Jason, who shared that they had a situation going on at the safe house. Jason didn’t give details, and Sonny disconnected and talked with Carly, Chase, and Michael, who had just arrived at the hospital.
Carly urged Sonny to go deal with the situation at the safe house, and he took off. Chase and Michael tried to get into Brook Lynn’s room, but Epiphany said no.
As they stood in the hall, Michael tried to hack Nelle’s cell phone again. Chase got a message saying there was a possible sighting of Nelle and Wiley, and he took off, and Michael slipped into Brook Lynn’s room.
Brook Lynn remembered more about what she overheard Nelle say in the moments leading up to her attack, and Brook Lynn whispered to Michael that Nelle had a tracker on Wiley. Michael realized that it was even more urgent to get into Nelle’s phone.
Michael then remembered a time when Nelle told him that the date of her kidney surgery was her “new birthday,” and he used that date to hack into Nelle’s phone, and it worked.
Ned and Olivia came in and shooed Michael out. Michael found the tracker app on Nelle’s phone with Wiley’s location still tracking.
Back at the Q mansion, Nina and Willow were still waiting when Sasha stopped by to offer her support to Willow. Things were a bit awkward between Willow and Sasha, but Willow appreciated Sasha’s concern.
After Sasha left, Willow told Nina that she missed having Sasha as a friend. Outside, Sasha pulled a packet of drugs out of her purse and gazed at it.
Back at the safe house, Sonny arrived and was stunned when he saw Taggert lying on the bed unconscious. “Taggert? How is he alive?” Sonny said. Jason explained how he found Taggert on the pier, and how he called Epiphany, who wasn’t at all surprised to see him alive.
“Did she tell you who was in on faking his death?” Sonny asked. Jason didn’t know, and Sonny figured that Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) must have been in on it.
Just then, Taggert regained consciousness, asking how “the girl” was. “What girl?” Sonny asked. “On the pier,” Taggert said, explaining about the man holding the girl at gunpoint.
Taggert didn’t know who the man or the girl were. Sonny said they’d talk about that soon, but that right now he and Jason wanted to know how Taggert is still alive.
Out in the countryside, Chase questioned the young woman who gave Nelle directions. Chase got all the relevant details and called in the information to the station.
Meanwhile, at her location, Nelle talked to Wiley, who was still sleeping, and as she unpacked her bag, she took out the stuffed kangaroo and was horrified to realize that the tracker had been with them the whole time.
Back at the hospital, Olivia and Ned tended to Brook Lynn, telling her that she shouldn’t try to talk, as it could damage her vocal chords. Brook Lynn started crying, and Ned and Olivia comforted her.
Finally, Michael drove along, following the tracking app on Nelle’s phone to Wiley’s location. “Hang on, buddy,” Michael said to himself. “Daddy’s coming.”
