General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, February 26, reveal that Ava Jerome (Maura West) wrapped up her visit with Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola), then bickered with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) about Ava’s sham marriage to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) told Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) that he was leaving Port Charles for boarding school.
Josslyn was stunned, and Carly interrupted them and asked for a moment alone with Josslyn. Josslyn wondered if Dev was leaving because of their shared kiss, but Carly explained that that’s not the reason. Josslyn then indicated her desire to go to the Midwinter Formal, but Carly said it was too dangerous.
Carly left, then Dev returned, and Josslyn told Dev to get ready for the dance. They quickly got ready and met in the living room where Dev had his backpack ready to go. Josslyn told him to leave it behind and he dropped it on the floor, where Carly later found it. As she was picking it up, stuff spilled out, including a bullet. Carly was horrified.
Meanwhile, at Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) house, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) prepared for the Midwinter Formal as Nikolas came to the door to talk with Elizabeth. He wanted advice on where to donate money at GH, but Elizabeth was chilly toward him – after all, Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) was still missing. She told him to leave.
Elizabeth went back inside, and soon Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) arrived for pictures, which Elizabeth happily took. Trina was upset that her dad didn’t show for pictures, and the pair left with a driver taking them to the dance. Franco and Elizabeth canoodled on the couch, and Franco gave Elizabeth an anniversary present.
Next, at the Metro Court, Julian Jerome (William deVry) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) argued. Brook Lynn threatened to tell Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) her theory on the baby swap, and she relayed to Julian her problem with Linc Brown (Dan Buran). She wanted Julian to find a way to make Linc agree to let her out of the contract, but Julian said he’d need to think about it.
Nikolas then came in and happily greeted Brook Lynn, who heard that he had gotten married. Ava walked in and met Brook Lynn. Nikolas and Brook Lynn went to the bar while Ava learned from Julian about how Brook Lynn knew his secret. Ava suggested that he agree to help her for now and buy some time, then they’d figure out a way out of the situation.
At the bar, Brook Lynn and Nikolas flirted, and Nikolas was glad that Brook Lynn supported him, rather than coming down hard on him like everyone else has. They were getting close when Ava pulled Nikolas away, and Brook Lynn went back to Julian, who agreed help her. They shook on the deal.
Over at the hospital, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) spoke with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) about going back to work, while Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) talked with Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) by phone. Taggert said he had a plan, then hung up on Jordan. Jordan walked in the room with Laura and Curtis and brought Laura up to speed on the mob war situation, including naming Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) as the instigator.
At Sonny’s office, he and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) talked briefly about how Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier) probably didn’t act alone. Soon, Taggert came in and said that they have a mutual problem and perhaps they can help each other out. Sonny played coy, and Taggert said this was all about Cyrus, and that they could work together. Taggert gave Sonny time to think about it and left.
As Taggert left, he was followed by one of Cyrus’ thugs. He led the thug to an alley, where another thug appeared and Taggert was outnumbered. Back in Sonny’s office, Laura arrived to tell Sonny that she wants him to put a stop to what’s going on in Port Charles, and if he doesn’t, she’ll do what must be done. Sonny understood.
Back at the hospital, Curtis and Jordan walked into an exam room to find Taggert, who was ok but got jumped and was roughed up a bit. Taggert handed Jordan a syringe that the thugs left behind when he fought back; Cyrus clearly sent someone to make it look like Taggert overdosed. Taggert said he had a plan, and that he reached out to Sonny. It was a big line to cross, but they need to work together to take Cyrus down.
Finally, Cameron and Trina talked happily to their SUV driver, who turned out to be one of the same thugs who beat up Taggert earlier.
