General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, January 22, teases that gunfire will cause chaos. GH will kick off the show with three separate shootouts before rewinding to two hours beforehand. They’ll show us how each character landed in such grave danger.
For starters, let’s discuss Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). He’ll wind up down on the docks, which is one shootout location. Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will be there as well, so they’ll debate the drama surrounding Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier).
Joss will feel like Michael’s putting his life at stake by moving Nelle into the Quartermaine mansion. She’ll contend that if Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) doesn’t awaken, Michael should convince Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) to revoke the adoption and take “Wiley Cooper-Jones” (Erik and Theo Olson) back.
Michael will protest that the adoption’s final, but Josslyn will point out that it’s Michael’s responsibility to protect “Wiley.” Since Michael was named “Wiley’s” godfather, Joss will think Michael needs to consider what Lucas would want him to do.
At the Metro Court, Nelle will face off with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). She’ll provoke Carly when she keeps bringing up Jonah Corinthos’ name, so Carly will think Nelle should mention Jonah one more time and see what happens!
However, Carly won’t feel like Nelle’s going to be a problem for long. She’ll suggest that sooner or later, Nelle will do something crazy and put herself behind bars again.
Nearby, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) will listen to Willow’s concerns about Brad Cooper (Parry Shen). Willow always considered Lucas the strongest dad candidate. She’ll feel like Brad’s losing it without Lucas around, so she’ll fret about what’ll happen if Lucas doesn’t awaken.
The prospect of Brad raising “Wiley” alone will terrify Willow. She just won’t know how she’s supposed to be OK with that.
Next, General Hospital spoilers say Willow will have a run-in with Nelle. After Nelle needles Willow about giving up her son, Willow will clap back. She’ll contend that as heartbroken as she is over Michael losing his child, she’s growing increasingly grateful that Nelle’s not a mother.
Naturally, Nelle won’t be pleased by the comment!
Back with Michael, GH spoilers say he’ll be joined by Laura Collins (Genie Francis) on the docks. They’ll go over pier renovation plans before Sasha arrives and speaks with Michael privately. Sasha will suggest she’s going to move in the Quartermaine mansion after all. She’ll think she can be useful in dealing with Nelle.
Josslyn will discover that she’s forgotten her journal, so she’ll return for it and notice a gunman lurking. After Joss calls out to the others, they’ll all run for cover. Laura will suddenly change spots and take a bullet in the process. She’ll fall to the ground with a gunshot wound, so the action will really rev up!
In Brooklyn, we should set the stage for another shootout. At a café, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will chat while Mike Corbin (Max Gail) gets flirty with the woman behind the counter. They’ll talk about the mob drama, Mike’s study and Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon).
Jason will think back on how he pushed Alan away before he died. He’ll suggest he wishes they could’ve had what Mike and Sonny have now. Just before Jason and Sonny leave with Mike, Jason will spot a man with a gun. He’ll drawn his own weapon before bullets start flying all over the café.
Back in Port Charles, Carly will take Gladys to Sonny’s warehouse. After Carly hands a worker named Tony some papers, another gunman will cause trouble. It won’t be long until shots are fired, so Tony will take Gladys into another room while Carly takes cover on her own.
At Crimson, Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) will be curious about the cut-up picture of Sasha, but Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) will claim Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is to blame.
Speaking of Nina, she’ll enjoy a cheese plate and Champagne with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher). They’ll cap off their munching with slow dancing and a kiss.
Meanwhile, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will get out on bail. There was no one around to witness his attempted murder of Ava Jerome (Maura West), so he’ll get off the hook for that.
Once Lulu’s brought up to speed, she’ll tell Valentin that she intends to file a restraining order against him. Lulu will be determined to protect Charlotte from her father and the world he lives in.
After Lulu leaves in a huff, Valentin will speak with Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) about Nelle. Martin will promise Nelle has no clue that he’s working for Valentin and not her. General Hospital spoilers say that secret’s sure to spell trouble eventually!
Finally, Ava and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will reach an agreement. On a plane home, they’ll establish that their marriage won’t include lovemaking, but Nikolas will demand faithfulness. He won’t want Ava sleeping around and making him look weak.
Ava will be on board with that, so Nikolas will agree to sign the codicil. This marriage is bound to bring more curveballs, so stay tuned. We’ll give you updates as other GH news comes in.
