General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, July 22 – Julian Rejects Nelle’s Offer – Brook Lynn Rescued – Willow Takes a Leap

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Wednesday, July 22, tease that some excitement’s on the way. This GH encore first aired on May 11, 2020, and it’s packed full of dramatic moments. General Hospital viewers may want to check out this episode again, so here’s the scoop on all Wednesday’s action.

At the police station, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) whines to Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) while making her one phone call. Brook Lynn insists the arrest wasn’t her fault and begs Ned to come bail her out, but he simply disconnects.

Once Brook Lynn asks Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) for another phone call, he nixes the idea and then relents. Since Ned won’t come to Brook Lynn’s rescue, Chase is curious to see who will.

Brook Lynn tries Dustin Phillips’ (Mark Lawson) number, but she gets his voicemail. Chase is amused and wonders if Brook Lynn’s run out of potential helpers.

Brook Lynn calls Chase a “man slut” as well as a “lying jerk.” However, Chase stands his ground and insists Brook Lynn has to play by the rules. If Brook Lynn can’t get anyone to bail her out, she’ll have to spend the night in police custody.

When Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier) shows up at Charlie’s Pub, Julian Jerome (William deVry) tries unsuccessfully to turn her away. Nelle argues that they’re both Brad Cooper’s (Parry Shen) victims and invites Julian to accept her very generous offer from the heart.

If Julian will get up on the stand and testify for Nelle, she assures him he’ll have a place in Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos’ (Erik and Theo Olson) life. Julian suggests that if he did get up on the stand, he’d fight for Wiley’s father to get custody – not Nelle the “heartless monster.”

Julian rants about Nelle using her son as a weapon before he gets a call.

After Julian uses the interruption to take off, he winds up at the PCPD. Brook Lynn’s grateful that Julian was willing to come bail her out and promises to pay him back. Julian argues that he only came because the task kept him from strangling someone.

Back with Nelle, she taunts Chase over his breakup and points out that they’re both single now. When Nelle hints at maybe giving Chase another chance, he makes it clear that’s not happening.

Chase contends that Nelle’s delusional, but Nelle thinks the delusional ones are people who underestimate her – because she always gets what she wants.

Later, Brook Lynn chats with Julian by the bar about keeping his secret. If Julian’s willing to do favors for Brook Lynn occasionally, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) never has to know Julian cut the brakes on Brad’s car and injured Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes).

Just around the corner, Nelle listens in and looks intrigued by what she’s learned.

Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) wants to have a drink with Chase at The Floating Rib, but Chase rejects the offer. Finn still wants to comfort his brother, so he just brings a six-pack down to the pier instead.

Chase talks about the pain of losing Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and their future together, but he feels this sacrifice is how he must show his love.

Finn understands Chase’s good intentions, but still thinks he’s an idiot. Chase could use some time to reflect alone, so Finn hugs his emotional brother before taking off.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Willow and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) do some court prep. Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy) wants to be sure Michael and Willow are ready to tackle whatever Nelle throws their way.

After Diane exits, Michael suggests there’s only one other thing that might boost his chances in court – and that’s marrying Willow. Since Willow is still in love with Chase, she feels obligated to tell Michael that. Willow asks if Michael’s OK with having a wife who’ll probably never love him.

Michael suggests Wiley is the priority and argues that their marriage would still be built on love. Both Michael and Willow love Wiley – and they love each other as friends.

Their home would be a happy and stable one, so Willow likes that vision of Wiley’s future. She wants to be part of the picture, so Willow takes the leap and accepts Michael’s marriage proposal.
