General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 21, reveal that Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) was needling Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) about his tryst with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) when Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) walked into the living room at the Q mansion.
Olivia didn’t hear about Ned’s affair, and both Olivia and Monica urged Ned to reach out to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane) and apologize again.
Meanwhile, in the foyer, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) talked with Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) via phone about the annulment, and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) overheard.
Later, Michael told Willow that Diane thought it was a mistake for them to get an annulment, but still Willow and Michael agreed to go ahead with it. Michael seemed distressed by this when Willow stepped out of the room.
At the Metro Court, Brook Lynn and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) woke up together after spending the night in Valentin’s suite. Even though Brook Lynn declared that it wouldn’t happen again, she said that she had a good time, and she and Valentin make love again.
Down in the restaurant, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) left Brook Lynn a message wondering where she was, then he talked with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), urging her to be careful where Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was concerned.
Over at a table, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) disagreed about Nelle Benson Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) burial, with Jax saying that he wouldn’t participate in it.
Michael and Willow walked in, and Michael, Jax, and Sam went to the terrace for a meeting. Jax and Sam asked Michael to be the CEO of Sam’s half of Aurora, and at first Michael balked, saying that he would rather find a way back to ELQ.
But eventually, Sam and Jax persuaded Michael to take the job, thrilling them both. Afterwards, Sam apologized to Michael for selling Valentin her kids’ shares of ELQ, but Michael said that he understood.
At another table, Chase and Nina talked, and Nina invited Chase to attend Nelle’s burial tomorrow. Chase blustered about how Nelle killed people, and he flatly refused.
Soon, Valentin and Brook Lynn walked in together all cuddly, and both Chase and Nina freaked out. Chase chastised Brook Lynn for obviously spending the night with Valentin, and Nina was horrified.
Brook Lynn fully admitted that she spent the night with Valentin, and Valentin smugly smiled in Nina’s direction. Brook Lynn left, and Chase took off, leaving Nina to blast Valentin for taking advantage of Brook Lynn.
Valentin flatly denied doing that, and he accused Nina of being jealous. Nina went on and on, and Valentin said that Nina wasn’t over him. Jax watched from a distance.
At the bar, Chase approached Willow and mentioned sparring with Michael yesterday. Chase said that he wished Willow all the happiness in the world, and he said that he hoped that Michael did better by her than he did.
Willow stopped Chase from leaving, saying that there was something he needed to know about her and Michael.
Back at the Q mansion, Brook Lynn showed up to retrieve her tote, and Ned wanted to talk. Brook Lynn reluctantly agreed, and Ned apologized to her for his recent behavior.
Brook Lynn apologized, too. Things seemed to be going along well, until Ned said that Valentin took advantage of Brook Lynn, prompting Brook Lynn to reveal that she spent the night with Valentin. Ned blew up, and Brook Lynn left angry.
At Charlie’s Pub, Julian Jerome (William deVry) got all caught up on what’s been going on recently with Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West).
Ava told Julian that she wanted to divorce Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) more than ever, since he had apparently had some sort of dalliance with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst).
Ava told Julian all about Scott Baldwin’s (Kin Shriner) blackmail scheme.
Then, Ava told Julian that she found Nikolas’ signature on a destroyed check, indicating that Scott blackmailed Nikolas, too, which could only mean that he had some inappropriate contact with Elizabeth.
Julian urged Ava to just divorce Nikolas and give up her dreams about the Cassadine fortune. Ava said no way.
At the hospital, Nikolas found Elizabeth and confessed that he had tried to manipulate Ava and Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) into an affair. Elizabeth played dumb, like she was hearing this for the first time, and she didn’t disclose that she was well-aware of Nikolas’ plan.
Though their discussion, Elizabeth realized that Nikolas had real feelings for Ava, and she urged Nikolas to express those feelings and be honest.
Nikolas headed to Wyndemere, where he found Ava mixing a martini. Ava said that she had something important to discuss with Nikolas, and Nikolas said that there was something that he should have told her a long time ago.
