General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 23, reveal that Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) approached Julian Jerome (William deVry) at the Metro Court wanting to know if he’d heard from Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero).
Ned and Julian spoke briefly about whether Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) had turned up yet, and then Ned took off.
At Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) apartment, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane) and Chase talked about Brook Lynn’s living arrangement.
Chase thought that Brook Lynn should go home and try to make up with Ned, but Brook Lynn refused, saying that Ned threw her out like garbage. Soon, Chase got a serious sounding call from the station, and he took off just as Ned arrived.
Ned urged Brook Lynn to come home so that they could talk and work things out, but Brook Lynn wasn’t having it.
At Kelly’s, Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) were sitting outside when Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) came along. While Molly stepped inside to get Stella a drink, Stella asked TJ how he was doing since his beating and kidnapping.
TJ said that he was still having nightmares, but that thinking of Molly and knowing that she was waiting for him got him through. Molly overheard that last statement and felt guilty.
When TJ stepped aside to take a call, Stella asked how Molly had held up during TJ’s kidnapping ordeal. Through their discussion, Molly admitted that she lost faith in TJ when she thought he was ghosting her.
Stella said that there was no sin in doubting, and that it was better to doubt than to deceive. Molly felt guilty.
Inside Kelly’s, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) reeled at the picture of himself kissing Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) that someone sent him on his phone.
Nikolas also got an ominous text saying, “meet me at the docs in an hour and it’s going to cost you big.” Nikolas rushed out, leaving Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) wondering what was going on.
At the Floating Rib, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) sat with Bobbie Jones (Jacklyn Zeman), who was going on about her firing from GH. Scott nervously fidgeted, and Bobbie wondered why he was so preoccupied.
Soon, Scott’s phone dinged, and he said he had a work emergency and needed to go. Scott took off, leaving Bobbie there waiting for him.
At the Corinthos house, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) talked on the terrace about the half-heart pendant that Avery dropped.
Avery said that she thought she’d keep it for good luck. After a little talk about Mike Corbin (Max Gail), Sonny and Avery went inside for a snack.
Meanwhile, in the living room, Jason walked in and saw Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) talking with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher). After Jax left, Carly told Jason that she did something that he’s not going to like, and that Jax doesn’t want him or Sonny to know.
Their conversation was interrupted when Lulu came to the door to offer her condolences about Mike.
Sonny and Lulu went to the terrace and looked at old photos that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) had sent of Mike back in the day. Lulu and Sonny talked about Mike a bit, and Lulu said that Sonny gave Mike the one thing that made him happy – a family.
Back in the living room, Carly nearly told Jason about her secret about Nelle, but then Sonny and Lulu came inside from the terrace. After Lulu left, Carly told Jason and Sonny that something happened and that she needed to tell them both.
Just then, Jason got a call from their guy at the PCPD, who confirmed that Nelle’s body was found – Nelle was dead.
Back at the Metro Court, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) sat with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and reeled at the picture that someone sent of her kiss with Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).
Ava shared the picture and the ominous text with Nina, and Ava insisted on taking off for the pier to meet the person who sent the picture.
At the docks, Nikolas showed up and came face to face with the person who took the incriminating photo, but viewers didn’t see who the person was. “You have got to be kidding me!” Nikolas exclaimed when he saw the person. Nikolas told the person that he didn’t have that kind of money, and that he needed 24 hours.
Back at the Floating Rib, Scott returned and rejoined Bobbie, who was mad that he took off and left her at the restaurant. Bobbie promptly broke up with Scott, calling him a lousy boyfriend. Bobbie took off, and Scott was miffed that Bobbie left a bigger tip than the tab…using his credit card.
Back at the Metro Court, Ava was leaving to head to the dock when Nikolas showed up. Nikolas wanted to talk, but Ava said she didn’t have time and needed to go. Ava took off, and Nikolas went to the bar and gazed at the photo of himself kissing Elizabeth and deleted it from his phone.
Elsewhere in the restaurant, Jax and Nina talked about how Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was doing with the loss of Mike, and then Nina asked if the police had any leads on Nelle, or if Carly had mentioned anything about it. Jax cryptically said that Carly didn’t know any more than he did.
Finally, back at the docks, Ava arrived and yelled out that she was here. Ava turned around and came face to face with the person who had sent her the picture of her kissing Franco. Viewers didn’t see the person, but Ava had her gun drawn and pointed the weapon right at the person.
