General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of August 31-September 1 tease that some difficult situations are ahead in Port Charles. For starters, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will struggle as Mike Corbin (Max Gail) keeps slipping away.
However, Sonny will decide to plan something special soon enough. It sounds like Sonny will have a heartfelt gesture in mind for his dad, so a bittersweet farewell day’s brewing.
Over with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), she’ll finally have a chance to rip into Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Sam may argue that she didn’t have all the facts when she made her deal with Valentin.
Since Sam’s deal helped Valentin gain control of ELQ, Sami will definitely put him on blast.
Nevertheless, Valentin may not see why Sam should care. A deal is a deal – and Sam got what she wanted. Sam’s free to enjoy being with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) without a parole officer breathing down her neck.
Valentin may get Sam to admit she wouldn’t change anything, even knowing her decision would put ELQ control in his hands.
Next, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will meet up with Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) for an honest and painful conversation. After all the hurdles these two have faced, starting a new relationship may be too complicated.
Alexis will face a tough blow that leaves her with a broken heart, so Neil may confess that he doesn’t want to pursue anything romantically.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will take a big step forward on her journey back to her daughter. Unfortunately, that may be the last step Nina takes for a while!
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will confide something in Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), which may involve suspicions about Nina’s biological daughter.
Between Jax’s jeweler and Nelle’s necklace half – which Carly may have seen when Nelle was younger – they’re poised to uncover the mother-daughter connection and hide it from Nina.
After Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) makes a move she battles regrets over, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will be tempted to confess.
Of course, being tempted to confess and actually confessing aren’t the same thing! It looks like Chase will change his mind and keep the fake affair secret a bit longer.
Over with Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero), she’ll have major concerns about Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Olivia may be the only one who can get through to Dante, so it’s a good thing she’s got a visit to his facility planned.
Robert Scorpio (Tristan Roberts) will help Olivia out with that, but he’ll also make a statement to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) that leaves her unnerved. There’ll also be a phone call that unsettles Anna next week. All of this should connect to Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) storyline, which will head down an even darker path eventually.
In the meantime, GH spoilers say Peter and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will discuss their impending bundle of joy. Peter will shower Maxie with affection during a romantic afternoon together, but underneath all the baby excitement will be a man who’s terrified.
If Peter’s secrets come out, his perfect life with Maxie is over!
Valentin will once again play mentor to Peter, who’ll be nervous about trying to leave his past behind. As for Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), he’ll put a plan in motion and confirm his suspicions as a result.
