General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that viewers have been seeing quite a bit of Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) lately on the show. As GH viewers know, Epiphany was one of the hospital staff who was reassigned by the new Chief of Staff Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).
Epiphany now has a boring administrative role, which was a hard change for Epiphany, who loved seeing patients on a daily basis.
But that’s not the only big change for Epiphany lately, whose breakup from Milo Giambetti (Drew Cheetwood) has been front-and-center on the show.
Epiphany has been seen hanging out with her friends Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) and commiserating over her split from Milo, and recently Epiphany sang a sad love song at karaoke night at The Floating Rib, bringing the house down.
Epiphany was also instrumental in faking the death of Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) a while back, which got her in the action a bit later, when it was revealed to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that Epiphany led the way in getting Taggert to appear to be dead that night in the ER. Epiphany definitely has her secrets!
Well, we have to say that it’s been great seeing Epiphany in action and taking a more prominent role on the show these days, and we have to wonder what’s next for the character.
Now that a big deal has been made out of Epiphany’s breakup with Milo, will she get a new love interest? That would be a delight to see, and we wonder who might step up to be Epiphany’s new guy.
We couldn’t help but notice that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) seemed to totally enjoy Epiphany’s big number at karaoke night.
Now, we don’t think that Epiphany would ever fall for Cyrus, given that she absolutely can’t stand the man and what he stands for, but we do wonder if perhaps Cyrus was a little smitten with Epiphany.
And if that’s the case, then maybe Epiphany could use that to help Sonny and Jason take Cyrus down. Sonny, Jason, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), and Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) have been saying for a while now that they need to find a weakness in Cyrus’ armor.
Perhaps Epiphany could get closer to Cyrus and try to learn more about what makes this man tick.
Whatever’s in store for Epiphany going forward, we’re really happy to see her on the show more and interacting with the other characters on a regular basis. Do you think that Epiphany will be part of the plot to bring Cyrus down?
