General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that some characters are classics that don’t need to change – like Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Others are baddies that need to stay bad for drama’s sake – like Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). There are even some characters that have undergone a nice evolution over the years – like Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
However, some characters are definitely in need of a total overhaul! Which one do you think needs it the most? Let’s consider a few options as we await new General Hospital episodes. First, there’s Peter August (Wes Ramsey). GH either needs to go all in on Peter as a villain or dial down his dark side to redeem him.
Peter can’t be plotting to kill other human beings and then playing superheroes with Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) like he’s an amazing person. That’s not depth; it’s dangerous!
There’s also Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), who’s let herself be fooled by Peter despite the evidence against him. Anna could use a major overhaul that takes her back to her smart former self.
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) might be another good overhaul option. Like Anna, Maxie’s been dumbed down so Peter can keep doing devious things. Maxie is now pregnant with Peter’s baby, so this is the perfect time for her to wise up and make some changes.
This kid needs Maxie to get back to a sharper version of herself and put Peter in his place!
We’ve also got Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), who should really stop worrying about things like revenge and money. Nikolas spent years away from his family and friends, so he could stand to focus on what’s most important. General Hospital seems to be inching Nikolas in the right direction, but he’s got a long way to go.
What about Julian Jerome (William deVry)? Julian’s life became a total mess after he decided to help Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) cover up the baby swap. That led to Julian trying to kill Brad and inadvertently putting Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) in a coma.
Now Nelle’s blackmailed Julian into marriage and he’s wondering how things went this far off the rails. Many GH fans are wondering that, too! Maybe Julian should find a way to take charge again in upcoming General Hospital episodes. Julian’s a tough guy who shouldn’t let someone like Nelle push him around.
