General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the ABC soap dropped a big baby bomb in the December 11 episode. Some shocking info came out, so let’s recap what was shared. We should talk about how much of it was true and how much might’ve been false.
Julian Jerome (William deVry) showed up at Dr. Kim Nero’s (Tamara Braun) place to say goodbye, but he found Kim’s nanny instead. The nanny knew all about “Charlie” and had seen his pictures, so that’s important to note.
After Julian heard a baby crying, the nanny admitted the kid belonged to Kim. She claimed that Kim knew she was pregnant before she left Port Charles and acted surprised that Kim hadn’t told Julian. The nanny also revealed that the baby’s name was Andrew – though they call him “Andy.”
However, the nanny called Kim once she was alone. “Dr. Nero, the man you warned me about showed up at the apartment tonight,” the nanny said. “Don’t worry, I got rid of him. He has no idea the baby is his.”
Now General Hospital fans are wondering if this is really Julian’s baby. The nanny clearly believes it is, but how do we know Kim told her the truth? This baby could just as easily belong to Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).
GH viewers will recall that Kim slept with Franco when he memory-mapped to believe he was Andrew “Drew” Cain (Billy Miller).
That brings us to this child’s name. Again, the nanny claimed he’s named Andrew and goes by “Andy.” Was that a lie to throw Julian off the trail? It’s possible, but it’s also possible that Kim named Andy after the baby’s father – or at least a version of him.
Andy may be “FrankenDrew’s” son, especially since GH is bringing all the memory-mapping issues up again. Julian only has a few more episodes left before he meets a tragic end. Franco, on the other hand, seems poised to beat his brain tumor and stick around.
It makes more sense for Franco to be the father since this could give the “Friz” fam a brand-new storyline. If Julian is the “baby daddy,” there’s nowhere to go. Julian will be gone soon, so what’s the point?
Of course, Tamara Braun is busy at the moment. Braun is doing a fantastic job as Ava Vitali on Days of Our Lives and is part of a long-term arc. Even so, Ava is one of those classic villainesses who doesn’t usually stay on DOOL indefinitely. She’s just not a permanent kind of character.
Ava does wild things and can’t usually keep herself out of trouble long enough to live a normal life in Salem. In other words, Ava will probably end up dead or in prison sometime in 2021 – leaving the door open for Braun to reprise her role as Kim on General Hospital.
GH might intend to hold off on the next phase of Kim’s baby drama and shock Franco with a baby twist down the road.
Then again, a Kim recast might pop up at some point. General Hospital could always hire a new actress to take over the role, so that’s an option to keep in mind. Regardless, there’s a story to be told here!
