General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that some big twists played out in the September 18 episode. After things went south at the casino, a body burned beyond recognition was found in a shallow grave that was dug recently. That body had the same height and build as Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) – and Holly’s ring was found as well.
Of course, Holly was seen alive on surveillance footage as the show came to a close. The baddies faked Holly’s death once again in hopes of getting Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and his posse off their backs. Now that we have proof Holly’s alive and being held hostage, we have to consider who’s behind this.
Who’s holding Holly captive and why? Let’s mull over the topic and see if we can figure out where this hot plot is headed. An older man’s hand was seen pressing a button on the phone in front of him and watching all the surveillance screens. This man was also wearing a suit based on what we could see of his arm.
Those are some important clues to keep in mind as we ponder this mystery. Some GH fans are speculating that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is behind this plot, but that clearly wasn’t a young enough hand to be Peter’s.
Plus, Peter had no clue what was going on when he confronted his goon over Holly’s presumed death. Seething Peter obviously thought the death was real – and that wasn’t what he ordered. Peter physically attacked his henchman and snarled, “I said distract Scorpio, not kill Holly Sutton!”
Peter was relieved when he learned his people were merely monitoring Holly and had nothing to do with her presumed death. It left Peter smiling over fate distracting Robert for him.
There was no one else around when he confronted the goon, so it’s not like Peter was putting on an act for anybody. Peter truly thought Holly was dead and was just glad to know his hands were clean.
With all that in mind, we should consider some other suspects. What about Cesar Faison (Anders Hove)? That man’s hand could easily pass for Faison’s – and we know what a crafty character he is.
It wouldn’t be all that surprising to learn Faison faked his own death. That might be a way to connect Peter to this mess without Peter even knowing it.
Again, Peter seems in the dark on all this Holly business, but it’s interesting that Holly was killed around the time Peter was having her monitored. Was Faison monitoring Peter’s actions, too? Faison is Peter’s father and would probably like to get vengeance on Henrik right about now!
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) made an interesting comment when Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) resurfaced in Port Charles recently. General Hospital fans may recall Jason casually referred to Britt as Faison’s daughter.
It’s true that she is, but why not say Britt is Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) daughter instead? Why mention the supposedly dead parent who hasn’t been around in well over two years?
That might’ve been a little clue GH writers were sneaking in. It’s common for returning characters to be mentioned more often before they make comebacks, so that might’ve been the reason for Jason’s choice to mention Faison, not Obrecht.
It’s tough to say why Faison would be linked to this casino and holding Holly captive, but he’s a sneaky guy who would surely have his reasons.
Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is another GH character that some have suggested could be behind Holly’s time in captivity. Since the casino previously belonged to Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) – an international drug trafficker – it’d make sense to connect her to Cyrus.
However, it’s too early to nail down an exact captor and his motives just yet. General Hospital will have to offer up some more clues first – and poor Holly will be stuck as a hostage until the truth comes out!
