General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier) is really getting the good people of Port Charles all riled up. As GH viewers know, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) were recently so upset over Nelle’s nonsense that they proceeded to take it out on a nearby tree. Nelle seems to have Michael right where she wants him with this custody case, and Michael stands a good chance of losing custody of his son.
Of course, Nelle is being her typical self – recently she offered to drop her lawsuit against Michael’s grandmothers in exchange for full custody of Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson).
It was a ridiculous deal, but that’s how Nelle manages to get under people’s skin. She just pushes and pushes until her enemies erupt…and then she uses her enemies’ eruption against them. It’s a vicious cycle.
Well, assuming that Nelle is going to be staying in Port Charles for a while, which it looks like she will be, she’ll probably need to be redeemed at least somewhat.
Sure, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), Michael, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), and Willow are probably never going to be best buds with Nelle no matter what mountains she moves, but it seems like something’s probably coming that will help Nelle redeem herself a bit.
But what could it be? Well, we can think of one thing that would certainly help Nelle redeem herself at least somewhat, and that would be if she were to do something unselfish where Wiley is concerned.
It certainly doesn’t look like Nelle is going to give up her custody case or get anywhere near offering joint custody to Michael, so her redemption would need to come in some other form.
What if Wiley were to get sick and need some sort of medical treatment that was somehow dependent on Nelle? We mean something even more serious than Wiley’s heart condition here, too – what if Wiley were to become ill with a terrible disease that required some sort of treatment, like a bone marrow transplant? Childhood cancer could require that type of transplant, and a close relative would have to be the donor.
Of course, if a situation like this did happen, then everyone’s first instinct would be to assume that Nelle wouldn’t cooperate, much like what happened when Nelle wouldn’t consent to the heart surgery for Wiley.
But we have to think that when faced with something like cancer in which Wiley needed a transfusion immediately, Nelle would probably be willing to donate in order to save her son.
It would certainly make for an interesting storyline, with Michael, Carly, and the rest of the Quartermaine and Corinthos families being indebted to Nelle for her selfless act.
