General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Kiki Jerome’s (Hayley Erin) death deeply affected Ava Jerome (Maura West), who ultimately became Ava Cassadine after her marriage to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). Kiki’s name still comes up frequently since she remains a huge part of Ava’s pain. Ava has a huge hole in her heart – and perhaps always will unless GH writers do something to fill it.
Of course, the only thing that would really end Ava’s sorrow is bringing Kiki back from the dead. In the soap world, that option’s always going to be on the table. Kiki’s murder could easily be undone – especially since Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) was behind it.
Ryan’s a real wildcard in the villain department, so a rewrite could have him holding the real Kiki captive with a minion’s help.
Regardless, it’d be nice for Ava to end this dark chapter of her life once and for all. Ava even resorted to psychics in an attempt to get closure. That plan didn’t work out very well since Ava learned Kiki was furious with her on the other side. However, that just never sounded quite right.
Kiki was a sweet gal who loved her mom deep down. Why would Kiki be spewing hatred like that? It never made any sense based on the Kiki we’d come to know. If Kiki were really dead and gone, it seems like she would’ve assured Ava of her forgiveness. What does deceased Kiki have to gain by holding a grudge?
Perhaps Ava was given a load of bogus psychic nonsense! When Ava had that nightmare about Kiki, it always seemed like Ava’s worst fears manifesting in the dream. Again, the Kiki we all knew and loved would’ve given Ava peace, not more pain. All of this could be used as part of a return storyline for Kiki.
If General Hospital ever brings Kiki back from the dead, Ava will have an opportunity to make amends. Although Ava has made her fair share of mistakes, she’s hopefully learned her lesson when it comes to hurting her daughter.
Losing Kiki changed Ava in many ways, so this could be a chance to truly repair their mother-daughter bond.
