General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) return seems to be brewing. There have been plenty of onscreen hints that it’s happening, so those are important to keep in mind. Whenever a character of the past is mentioned frequently, it’s often a sign that a big comeback’s in the works.
Of course, there’s another crucial factor to consider here – and that’s Dominic Zamprogna’s interest in returning. Zamprogna confirmed that he was ready to come home in an interview with Soaps in Depth.
Based on that interview, Zamprogna would be willing to come back on contract. The GH star seems very on board with the storylines that could play out after Dante’s time away.
However, there’s another face from the past who’s spent far too long offscreen – someone else that many General Hospital fans would like to see again. What about Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson)? Will Lucky return with Dante on new GH episodes? There’d be some fantastic reasons to put Lucky back in the mix.
For starters, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) is having some troubles in her marriage. Although those troubles aren’t too bad just yet, they could easily get worse.
Liz could wind up with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) if her relationship with Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) falls apart, but Lucky might be a better option. Part of Liz’s heart may always belong to Lucky.
Maybe GH could even go for a Lucky, Liz and Nikolas love triangle. There would be other options like Ava Jerome (Maura West) to keep Franco busy. Regardless, Lucky’s a popular character who could interact with a ton of people.
Lucky also needs to be there for Aiden Webber (Jason David). This dad has spent too much time apart from his son as it is! Now that Nikolas is back, that presents some other good opportunities for Lucky drama.
Nikolas let Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and the rest of the family believe he was dead, so Lucky would surely give Nik an earful.
Jonathan Jackson might be willing to reprise the role of Lucky, even if it was for a short-term arc. If not, General Hospital could recast the role. It might be wise to present Lucky as a permanent character and truly make him part of the canvas again.
Maybe Lucky could even be part of Dante’s comeback storyline. They could at least bond as outsiders after being out of Port Charles for so long. General Hospital spoilers say some shockers are looming once GH is back in production. Some epic returns could be part of a plan to draw viewers back in, so we’ll pass along updates as other news emerges.
