General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will eventually make it back to Port Charles – and there’s a good chance he’ll carry out that assignment he was offered after all. Even if Dante investigates on his own, there’s no way GH will drop the special op part of the story without revealing more.
Dante’s doctor wasn’t given the details, but he did suggest this mission involved someone close to Dante like a friend or family member. Since Dante’s been away from his family for so long, GH writers will want to give Dante a heroic comeback – maybe even a comeback that leads to another returning character.
Could Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) become part of this storyline? Let’s look at some intriguing clues. For starters, there’s some buzz out there about Lucky playing a role in the drama somehow. Nothing’s been confirmed, but it’s worth considering based on some upcoming General Hospital spoilers.
During the week of September 21-25, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will rattle Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) by pushing her to relay a message – most likely to Laura Collins (Genie Francis).
Cyrus is far too interested in the Spencer women and may even have a secret link to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). It makes sense that Cyrus might eventually extend his reach to Laura’s other son, Lucky.
Plus, Ethan Lovett (Nathan Parsons) is headed back to General Hospital for a brief stint soon. Ethan is Lucky’s half-brother through Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary), so there’s another angle for GH writers to work. The focus on Spencer connections could make it more likely that Lucky will pop up in some form.
As for Lulu, she’ll console Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) over Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) death in the week ahead. General Hospital’s making sure to keep Lulu close to Sonny.
As a result, Lulu will remain close to the Cyrus drama. That means Lulu’s family is in danger, particularly since Laura and Cyrus’ feud will remain an underlying factor.
Lulu will also find herself taking a walk down memory lane with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) on September 22. It’s easy to imagine that including some Dante and Lucky talk. We could see GH writers start laying the groundwork for a Lucky return or recast.
It’d be great if Dante’s mission somehow leads to him playing the hero and saving Lucky. Lulu would certainly be grateful to Dante for coming to her brother’s rescue.
We should note that Greg Vaughan (another ex-Lucky Spencer) is no longer working at Days of Our Lives – and he isn’t ruling out the idea of a GH return if they ask!
That’s something to keep in mind in case this Dante storyline starts heading in a Lucky direction. We’ll provide updates as other GH news rolls in. General Hospital spoilers say some surprises are in store, so don’t miss all the action.
