General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Emme Rylan’s (Lulu Spencer) exit is on the way, so we have to think about what that means for the character. Lulu can’t legally take Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) away from Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) – and she probably wouldn’t separate Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan) from Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) either.
However, GH does need some sort of exit strategy here, so let’s consider an intriguing one. What happens once Laura Collins (Genie Francis) realizes Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was behind the bomb at The Floating Rib?
Laura warned Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that she thought Cyrus was after her. She knows Cyrus has a grudge related to the 40-year-old murder of David Hamilton.
With all that in mind, it’d be reasonable for Laura to assume Lulu was the target of that blast – or at least one of the targets. General Hospital fans know Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was meant to be the main victim, but how can Laura be sure?
That’s especially true since Cyrus would never flat-out admit to orchestrating the attack.
Now Dev Cerci aka “Dev Corbin” (Ashton Arbab) and Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) are dead, so Laura may soon blame herself on some level. General Hospital spoilers say Laura could also be fearful about what’s next.
There’s nothing to stop Cyrus from plotting yet another attack – and that could prove troubling to Laura, who won’t know Lulu wasn’t really the intended target.
Could Laura take drastic action to keep her daughter safe? Laura may even tie this to that article Lulu wrote and determine that’s one more reason for Cyrus to be vengeful.
From Laura’s perspective, Lulu’s death may be guaranteed if she stays in Port Charles. It’s possible Laura will arrange it so Lulu leaves town without tipping Cyrus off to where she’s going.
However, that option presents some risks of its own. Laura can’t be certain that Cyrus won’t have all his minions searching high and low. It might be best if Lulu fakes her death under the circumstances.
Lulu gave Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) a hard time about his own decision to fake his demise and stay away from his family, but perhaps Lulu will have no choice.
Of course, this could be a Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) type of situation where GH doesn’t reveal the truth until later. Regardless, if Lulu ends up with newly discovered injuries that lead to a decline in her condition, maybe we should be suspicious!
General Hospital would definitely have the option of bringing Lulu back in a case like this.
