General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Peter August (Wes Ramsey) are on cloud nine right now. What started out as a total disaster with Maxie blabbing about her pregnancy into a live microphone at the Nurses’ Ball turned into something great, as Peter was thrilled about the baby on the way.
Maxie, who had been worried about balancing her career and another baby, got quickly reassured by Peter that he’d contribute as much as necessary so that Maxie could live both her career and her parenting dreams.
Well, things seem all happy right now, but GH viewers know that Peter is sitting on some seriously big secrets that could destroy his relationship with Maxie. Peter was heavily involved in the capture of Drew Cain (Billy Miller) from Afghanistan years ago, and he is also responsible for Drew’s most recent disappearance.
Plus, Peter shot and killed his own henchman after changing his mind about murdering Andre Maddox (Anthony Washington) and Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).
Obviously, those aren’t small offenses, and when and if Maxie finds out about them, that’s going to be the end for her and Peter, and she’ll almost certainly do anything to keep Peter away from his child.
Of course, this assumes that Maxie will end up having the baby. While there’s the potential for major drama with Maxie giving birth to Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) grandchild, there’s also the very real possibility that Maxie could end up with a high-risk pregnancy.
And given that GH spoilers say that Peter will soon be really struggling with all the things he’s keeping from Maxie, it looks like he might be wrestling with whether or not to tell Maxie what he’s done.
We could see a situation in which Maxie ends up with a high-risk pregnancy and is told that she must not undergo any stress – in which case, Peter would probably use that as an excuse not to tell Maxie about everything he’s done.
Of course, if Maxie is embroiled in a high-risk pregnancy storyline, then that will potentially put Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) in a tricky position, too. As
GH viewers know, Spinelli has recently found out form Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) all about how Peter was being blackmailed by Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) for capturing Drew all those years ago.
Maxie being physically unable to take that news without the risk of losing the baby would be a soapy twist.
If GH does go the high-risk pregnancy route, then the chances of Peter, Spinelli, or even Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) telling Maxie about Peter’s crimes are slim…at least until after the baby is born.
But there’s another storyline possibility here, and that’s that Maxie will have a seemingly healthy pregnancy and lose the baby when the truth does come out about Peter.
While it seems doubtful that Peter will tell Maxie the truth at this point, Spinelli REALLY wants to get Maxie away from Peter, so he could spill the beans and Maxie could go into distress.
We’ll see what happens here, but there are definitely some different storyline dynamics here depending on which way TPTB decide to go. Do you think that Maxie will ultimately give birth to Peter’s child?
