General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that there’s hope for Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) on new GH episodes. Plenty of fans were disappointed when General Hospital broke up “Chillow,” but you shouldn’t give up on this pairing completely! There’s still a chance for Chase and Willow, so here’s what it’ll take for them to reunite.
1) The Fake Affair Truth
The first step toward a “Chillow” reunion obviously involves the truth. Chase lied to Willow about cheating with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and made Willow feel like it was her fault for becoming so obsessed with Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson).
Of course, none of that was true. Everything Chase has done is coming from a place of love, even if he’s hurting Willow in the process. Willow still loves Chase despite what she believes is a terrible betrayal, which says a lot about the strength of the relationship they shared.
Once the truth comes out about the faux affair, Willow should understand the sacrifice Chase made – even if she doesn’t agree with his tactic. That could open the door to a Willow and Chase reunion just a crack.
2) Time
Naturally, it’s also going to take time before Chase and Willow can reunite. There are a couple of good reasons for that. For starters, Chase still betrayed Willow in a way. His lie was a painful one, and it was wrong for Chase to make Willow’s decisions for her.
Chase had pure motives, but that doesn’t change the fact that he hurt Willow unnecessarily and shattered the trust between them.
The good news is Willow’s forgiving and can move past this different kind of betrayal eventually. The bad news is Willow will have to stay the course in her marriage to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
Win or lose in that courtroom, Willow made a commitment she can’t bail on anytime soon. She’s in this marriage for the long haul, so any dreams of a reunion with Chase will have to wait.
3) Overcoming New Feelings For Michael
There’s one more obstacle for Willow and Chase to overcome – and that involves any new feelings they might develop for other people. Willow seems destined to fall for Michael, but will she be able to shake her love for Chase?
It looks like Willow could end up with one very torn heart on new GH episodes. The same goes for Chase if he gets a new love interest, but his love for Willow should remain.
