Trick Daddy went to the Bahamas. He and Trina grew up together and he had given her his word that he would go to the Bahamas with her and be there for her family. Trina went to the Bahamas to honor her mother. Her mother Vanessa grew up on the island and a lot Vanessa’s family out there couldn’t make it to the funeral. Having an event on an island to honor Vanessa was a way to give everyone a chance to say goodbye to her. It would also help Trina and her family to celebrate Vanessa’s birthday or what it would have been if she hadn’t died. And so having more people there was the merrier.

Trina’s sister Laura had come in late the night before. Trina was really close to her and she was glad she could make. Everyone was also glad to see Trick. They asked him if he could cook something for Vanessa’s event and him being on his best behavior he said “yes”. Trick was living it up with Trina and her family and meanwhile back in Miami there was brunch. Sukihana put together a brunch for black girls celebrating each other. She thought long and hard about it after her interview about colorism and she realized that the girls needed something to celebrate their melanin.

Sukihana invited both Amara and PreMadonna to the event. The last she heard, they were on good terms with each other and so that didn’t change until Amara suddenly let it change. Amara later decided she didn’t like how PreMadonna handles everything with Emjay. She felt PreMadonna should have at least called and told her that she was bringing Annie. Amara felt she should have gotten a heads-up before she pushed the Annie/Emjay situation on her. The situation did change Amara’s mind about Emjay. She did realize that he was using her and she broke up with him because she wanted to get her own mind right.

But Amara still doesn’t appreciate what PreMadonna did. She was talking about with Mami Ana and she told her that she was tired of everyone telling her what to do. She wanted to make up her mind. She didn’t want to be manipulated into doing anything and so now she has a problem with PreMadonna. Amara didn’t know that PreMadonna was going to be at the brunch. She went to it because she had wanted to take her mind off of everything that happened and so running into PreMadonna there had been the worst sort of luck. Amara and PreMadonna made the event about them and that’s not what Sukihana wanted.

Sukihana had been talking about empowering each other before it all went down. She was glad to welcome all of her friends and so it’s just unfortunate that said friends brought the messiness to the event. Amara could have sat there and not said anything. She only did because she swore she was being bothered every time she saw her. It also didn’t help when PreMadonna spoke to her. PreMadonna and everybody had been talking about colorism. They mentioned their stories growing up and Amara even told them how she never felt accepted by either the Hispanics or the Blacks. She was telling her story when PreMadonna asked her what she identified as and that set Amara off.

Amara tried ignoring PreMadonna. She refused to answer her question or even look at her. This, in turn, clued PreMadonna in on what was going on. PreMadonna tried to talk to Amara. Amara kept ignoring her until eventually, she admitted she was ignoring her and so that’s when their business came out. Everyone else wanted to know what was going on and PreMadonna told them the story. She told them how she “helped” Amara. Amara said that PreMadonna shouldn’t have gotten in the middle and the two were starting to argue. It got so bad that Sukihana of all people decided to end her brunch early.

Sukihana said they didn’t come all this way to argue about d*ck. She also said in her confessional that she was surprised this came from PreMadonna and Amara because these two women don’t seem the type to be ratchet and so she figured they must have been hiding it deep down. The two women were still out there arguing about Emjay as everyone slowly began to leave. Hood Brat hadn’t come all that way to witness a fight. She went for the female empowerment and she had needed to rely on her friends right now. She just found out her boyfriend is secretly married. Hood Brat ended the relationship the moment she found out and she had been advised by Brisco to give Kenny another chance.

Brisco was all about forgiveness. He was trying to get his baby mama to take him back. He had cheated on her several times in the past and the way he usually got her to forgive him was to buy her something. This time he tried to buy her a house. He took her to go check out some houses and he later told her that he envisioned them moving in together. His baby mama wasn’t too sure about that because of their past. She agreed to work at possibly getting back together and so, for now, he’s won. Brisco said he’ll try to be different, but what incentive does he have. He keeps buying his way back into her good graces and so he had no reason to change.

Over in the Bahamas, Trick and Joy had taken some time to discuss their relationship. They got together because of Vanessa and so remembering her had helped them to remember what they were like together. Trick didn’t always appreciate Joy. She felt like she did more for him than he ever did for her and she noticed how he never apologized for the way he treated her. She openly discussed her feelings back. She made Trick think about his own actions and he later apologized to her. It was the first time he had ever done that. He also had a few things to say about back then and so he asked Joy to listen to him as well.

It wasn’t all serious conversation. The family later came together to celebrate Vanessa’s life and Bobby made sure everyone was having a great time. He got the shots. They drank in Vanessa’s honor and Trina even said a little prayer in thanks.

THE END!
