The matchmakers were at it again. They were looking into Mishel’s case. Mishel is a unique woman. She was married for thirteen years and they broke up after he cheated on her. Mishel said most of her relationships ended after the man has cheated her. She tends to think the common factor is herself. Mishel has called herself a dud and she even used the words “batsh*t crazy” to describe herself. She clearly needed someone new who would respect and cherish her. She also needed some confidence and so the matchmakers thought the perfect man was her Steve. Steve has a seriousness to him to counterbalance some of Mishel’s silly side. And he knows the value of a good woman because he’s come close to losing his life and he’s never going to take anything for granted again.

The matchmakers did have a harder time with Stacey. Stacey lost her father when she was very young and so her older brother stepped in. He acted as her father figure. Then he died just as she was about to have a baby. Stacey had to bury her brother/closest thing to a father she’s ever had and she also gave birth. It was a tumultuous time in her life. Stacey had her baby and it was a beautiful boy, but unfortunately, she began dating the wrong type of men. She looked for men who would show her affection through things and she would consider that love. The matchmakers decided to pair her with Michael. Michael was very successful. He also knows that things don’t matter.

Michael was married before. He has a son as well. His wife left him one day because she was tired of all the business trips and she didn’t feel like she was a priority. Michael learned his lesson when his wife left him. He realized that he needed to devote more of his time to a relationship and so he was the perfect fit for Stacey. They were both younger than thirty and successful. They each had a young child. Michael also has this family home that’s just waiting for a family. He would be a perfect fit for Stacey as long as Stacey made sure to put in the effort. The matchmakers were hoping for the best here. They paired off these couples with nothing but the best intentions and now it’s up to the couples to decide whether or not they want to make this marriage work.

Later, the night before their weddings, Stacey had food poisoning. She spent most of the night being sick and she wasn’t at her best on the morning of her wedding. Everyone else was fine. They were all nervous about getting married and wanting this to work. Mishel was the most worried one out of the lot. She remembered all the times her exes have cheated on her and she didn’t want that to happen again with her new husband. She wanted him to be different. She hadn’t met Steve yet and so she didn’t know how much of a sweetheart he was. Steve introduced himself to Mishel’s mother. He gave the older woman a kiss on the cheek. She told him she approved of him and so everything was off to a great start.

Mishel later arrived at the wedding. She met Steve and he made a great first impression because he did everything possible to reassure her. He in turn was also instantly attracted to her. He loved her eyes and he thought she was beautiful. He was also a smooth talker. He said all the right things and he made her laugh. Mishel and Steve were happy when they got married. Even their friends and family were happy for them. Love in the air with this couple. It wasn’t with Stacey and Michael. Stacey’s friends met Michael and they didn’t like him. One friend said that Stacey would hate him when she met him and so she jinxed the marriage. She’s basically put bad juju on it. It’s out there now and there’s no stopping it.

Michael’s first impressions of Stacey were wonderful. He thought she was beautiful and she thought he was fine. He wasn’t her usual type at all. He wasn’t as handsome as she went for and he laughed a lot. Michael uses humor to mask his nerves. He’s always done it and it was a bad tick for Stacey. She hated his constant laughter. He took nothing seriously. His vows were mostly jokes and so that too was a mark against him. Michael finally got serious at the end of his vows. He sounded genuine when he did that and he carefully listened to Stacy when she said her vows. She told him she has been hurt in the past. She admitted that she has walls to help protect herself and so he’s going have to overcome that.

Back at Mishel and Steve’s wedding. Mishel’s daughter decided to test the waters with Steve. Steve was new and Mishel’s daughter didn’t want her mom to get hurt again. The daughter told Steve that her mom has been cheated on. Steve admitted he cheated on an ex and so that automatically ruled him out with the daughter. The daughter thought once a cheater is always a cheater. She became concerned for her mom and her mom meanwhile was enjoying the reception. Mishel connected to Steve. She felt like she knew him and she was so happy until she talked to her daughter. Her daughter told her what she found out. Mishel repeated that once a cheater is always a cheater and so that right there ended any hope of her marriage.

Steve’s friends noticed that Mishel was upset. They asked her about it and she told him the cheating thing bothered her. Mishel has been cheated on in almost every relationship she’s had. She didn’t want to put her faith in another cheater only to be hurt and so she didn’t care what the friends had to say. They told her how much Steve regretted cheating. They told her Steve wasn’t like that anymore and she didn’t want to hear it. Mishel had made up her mind. She became truly upset and she needed to walk off. And speaking of wanting to walk off, Stacey was ready to give up on her marriage mere moments into her reception. Stacey thought Michael was childish. She said she didn’t need to parent another child and it also didn’t help that he kept singing “Baby Shark”.

Stacey had so written him off that he began sensing it. He realized she wasn’t interested in him and so he started pulling away. He was pulling away right as Stacey found out he owns a successful company. Her friend did an internet search on Michael. She found out he was rich and she told Stacey. Stacey suddenly liked that Michael had drive and ambition. She thought she might have been wrong about him. She was willing to give him another chance and it could be too late because Michael now finds her to be rude. Michael talked about it with his friends. He told them how he asked Stacey questions and she never once asked him questions about himself. Michael even called her rude for the way she was acting.

Stacey meanwhile realized she had been rude. She pulled Michael aside and she apologized. She told him she knew she hadn’t been giving 100%. Stacey told him she was going to change. She later went with Michael back to the hotel room. They spent the night in the same bed. Nothing really happened. Nothing happened with Mishel and Steve either. Mishel did decide to give him a second chance after everything’s she heard and they went back to the hotel room together. The couples spent their wedding night platonically. The next stage of the experiment was the honeymoon. All the couples set out for their destinations. Michael and Stacey went to Fiji. They began talking more once they reached the islands.

Sometimes talking isn’t always great. Michael said something he shouldn’t have. He was drunk and he didn’t mean it. Stacey ended up walking back to the hotel alone. She was so upset with him that she didn’t even want to talk to him the next morning and Michael came to resent the way she was treating him. He had apologized for his behavior. He thought she should move on and she refused to. She was stubborn. Michael didn’t like how stubborn she was. They argued all morning until Michael gave a true apology. One that wasn’t so flippant. Stacy appreciated that and so they made up. They were doing a lot better after that apology. It seems to have fixed their fractured relationship and they were back on track.

Connie and Jonethen haven’t had a romantic kiss. They were more becoming friends rather than partners and they were doing much better than Ivan and Aleks. Ivan, as it turns out, couldn’t help himself. He kept answering work phone calls and he never once just enjoyed his honeymoon. But another miss was Mishel and Steve. They disagreed on everything. Mishel wanted to try out obstacle courses and go skiing. She wanted to have fun. She thought Steve would be the same and he wasn’t. He wasn’t an adrenaline junkie as she was. He crashed out on their first activity and he had to step out of his comfort zone for the second one. They went skiing. It started off great and then Mishel complained when she didn’t pick up as fast as she wanted to.

Steve grew angry at Mishel for creating an issue. She complained about everything after she got what she wanted and so Steve felt like he could do nothing right with her. The couple quickly began struggling to survive. Thy suffered from a lack of intimacy and they weren’t even talking to each other by one point. They weren’t as quick to forgive as Stacey and Michael. The two did an activity together and it brought them closer. They learned they can work with each other. They learned they can have fun with each other. They also talked to each other and Stacey confessed to why she was so closed off before. It wasn’t because she didn’t like him. She does like him and so she just needs some patience.

Stacey is opening herself up to Michael. He was very sweet with her and now it looks like their marriage is improving. The couple later had sex and they were first to consummate their marriage. Their marriage was improving while Mishel and Steve were coming towards a breaking point. Steve finally had enough of Mishel’s whining and he called her out on it. He told her how he wasn’t having fun because of her attitude. He forced her to think about her actions and so she later apologized to him. She didn’t realize how annoying she was being or that she was ruining this trip for him. Mishel’s apology went a long way towards healing the rift between them.

And Connie and Jonethen shared a kiss that’s been longly awaited.

THE END!
