A few things happened before the next dinner party. One husband found out his wife had cheated on him with another husband in the experiment. The couple dealing with this devastating betrayal is David and Hayley. They’ve had problems in the past and they were working towards overcoming those same problems when this happened. This happened as David was finally falling for Hayley. Her actions had set them back and David had even felt revengeful. David learned that Hayley had been caught kissing Michael. He then contacted Michael’s wife and he told her about the cheating. He said he was doing the right thing, but in truth, he probably wanted to hurt Hayley and Michael both.
David succeeded in driving a wedge between Michael’s and his wife Stacey. Stacey was visiting her children back home when Michael went out partying and he got drink again. He had earlier promised her that he wouldn’t get drunk like that again. He promised her and her family that he didn’t need to party. He said he would slow down and then he does this while Stacey’s away. Stacey was on her trip coming back when she got David’s message. David told her that Michael and Hayley were out drinking together and that they were seen kissing. This in turn hurt Stacey because she thought her marriage was stronger than that.
Stacey kicked Michael out of the apartment. He slept elsewhere the night before the dinner party and the two of them didn’t speak. Stacey hadn’t gone to him for answers. She went straight to Hayley and Hayley told her that she hooked up with Michael. She said she kissed Michael. She also said that they were drunk and that Michael was very flirtatious. Michael flirted first. He told Hayley that he could give her what she needs if David couldn’t and so Hayley told Stacey everything and Stacey hadn’t trusted one word she said. Stacey thought Hayley was only saying what she did in order to appear like she’s a good person.
Stacey doesn’t think Hayley’s a good person. She thinks Hayley is a snake and so does Hayley’s own husband. David got his petty revenge. He dropped Hayley’s toothbrush into the toilet. He also filmed himself dropping it into the toilet and he sent it to some of the others. Thankfully, one of the other wives contacted Hayley in time. She didn’t use her toothbrush and she realized how petty David is. David and Hayley haven’t talked since the whole cheating thing. Hayley said David’s true colors were coming out. She said she was tired of quieting herself and that she was way too good for David.
David and Hayley later arrived separately to the dinner. Everyone had known by then the rumors about Hayley and Michael and so the gossiping was already in a full drive-by time Hayley decided to clear the air. Hayley told the group that yes, she did kiss, Michael. She said she wasn’t going to go into the full story until the rest of the group arrived and so once again there was some waiting. The guests started to trickle in. The newcomers all said they came in and they felt the tension. They were nervous. The couples were also wanted to hear Michael’s side now that Hayley had all but dominated the conversation.
Michael and Stacey arrived separately as well. They came on their own and it was when they sat down to dinner that Michael decided to address the group. Michael asked for their attention. He then told them once he got it his version of events. Michael said he got super drunk and that he danced upon Hayley. He said he was flirtatious with Hayley. He lastly added how he doesn’t remember making out with Hayley. He denies it and Hayley called him out on it. Hayley said it happened. She said they kissed and she accused him of pretending he doesn’t remember so that he could hide from what he did.
Michael and Hayley got into an argument at the dinner table. They didn’t quiet down until Stacey spoke up and she said it’s now her turn to speak. Stacey accused Hayley of trying to come across as a good guy. She turned everything on Hayley. She said Hayley took advantage of her husband’s drunken state. She basically claimed Michael wasn’t at fault. She left Michael off the hook and she blamed Hayley for it all. Hayley actually got up from the table after Stacey asked everyone if they were going to trust their husbands around her and no one spoke up for her. Hayley left. She left and Michael tried to claim she was a liar.
Stacey refused to listen to reason. She didn’t want to believe her husband was also to blame because she still has feelings for him and she wanted to forgive him. Only the other women tried to get Stacey to see sense. They told her that Michael was to blame for her failed marriage because he was the one married to Stacey and so they got Stacey to confront Michael. She later confronted Michael about all of it. Him going out partying even after he promised he wouldn’t and him kissing another woman literally on the same day he met Stacey’s two children. Stacey ended up crying in front of her children after she learned what Michael had done.
Michael was the first man she ever introduced to her children. She let him into her life and this is what he does. Stacey snapped. She finally got angry with Michael and Hayley, who came back to the table, watched it with interest. Hayley didn’t say anything. She just watched it all unfold and she watched David. David tried giving another couple some martial advice. He told them to be adults and so Hayley spoke up. Hayley told the whole table what David did with her toothbrush. She even showed them the video of it and they had all been disgusted. They asked David to apologize to Hayley for what he did and he refused.
