The couples embarked on the groom’s homestays. The groom homestays were a chance for the wives to see their husbands in their natural habitat. The grooms were once bachelors and they created homes for themselves based on their own unique personalities. The grooms have so far have shown their wives their best effort. They weren’t being slobs on their honeymoons or at their shared apartment. They probably also didn’t have many of things they turn to for comfort there with them and so the wives were missing a piece to a puzzle. And these homestays were supposed to help them complete the picture.
The couples were all packing up for these homestays. The only exception to the general happiness for these homestays appeared to be Cathy and Josh. The couple was struggling. They’ve been struggling since their most recent commitment ceremony and unfortunately the ceremony set of a chain of events. It began with Cathy finding out Josh had been unhappy with her. Josh didn’t seem to be unhappy as they were talking and sharing for a whole week before the ceremony. He seemed like he was fancying his wife again. Cathy even though they were getting to that place where she could trust him and so he blindsided her with his comments at the ceremony.
Josh implied he felt more of friendship for his wife Cathy. Which was a crushing blow for his wife? Cathy actually fancied Josh and she wanted him to return her feelings. She wanted to develop a relationship with this man and he couldn’t bother to tell her that he was worried before he told the rest of the group. He instead sat on the information. He hoarded it until he was ready to talk to the experts and that hadn’t been fair to Cathy. She deserved better than that. She probably told him she deserved better than that when they got back to the apartment because they got into a huge fight later.
The couple didn’t go into specifics. All they were willing to say is that they argued and that they didn’t feel excited about the homestays. In all honesty, they looked ready to call it quits. Cathy had caught a cold and she wasn’t feeling well. Her feelings had also just been hurt. She, therefore, wasn’t excited about getting to see another side to Josh’s personality because the side she was seeing already was hella unattractive and she wasn’t sure she wanted to see more. Another couple that was struggling was Lizzie and Seb. Seb was a healthy guy. He likes fitness and eating healthy. He noticed that Lizzie wasn’t the same and so he passed judgment on her.
Seb told Lizzie she was unhealthy. He told her that she only eats three things and how none of them were vegetables. Lizzie felt judged because of what he said. He reminded her very much of the last time she was in the experiment and so she decided to address the issues now rather than let them fester. Lizzie talked to Seb. She told him she knew he was coming from a good place, but what he said to her had hurt her feelings and she didn’t like feeling like that. Lizzie was right to clear the air with Seb because he quickly apologized for making her feel that way. He didn’t mean to do it and he promised to be mindful.
The fight between Seb and Lizzie was really minor. They were able to move past it quickly and so it wasn’t a reoccurring thing like Michael’s alleged cheating was. Michael was able to win his wife Stacey back after this cheating allegedly went down because again the cheating was alleged. Stacey only had the word of someone who claimed she was making out with Michael and that hadn’t been good enough for Stacey. Not when she really wanted things to work out with Michael. Michael and Stacey got back together and they did a homestay visit. Stacey got to see Michael’s house.
She saw how he had nothing in the fridge. They laughed about it and it seemed all good until Michael invited her to have a swim with him in the pool. Stacey told her husband that she didn’t pack a bathing suit. So, he told her he might have some at the house. Stacey soon asked him why he would have women’s bathing suits at his house and he was so nervous about telling her the truth that he tried to lie. He tried to claim a friend left them over. He showed her a bathing suit that was too big and she said she couldn’t wear them because she was smaller. And so Michael then showed her another bathing suit that another alleged friend left over.
Michael was so worried about revealing an ex left over their bathing suit that he kept saying, friend. Which was really odd because it’s not like he was fooling anyone. Michael is a terrible liar and he couldn’t fool Stacey. She began wondering if he has a fetish for collecting women’s bathing suits with the amount he still had at his house. It was pretty clear that Stacey wasn’t the first woman invited for a swim and so that tapped into Stacey’s old fears. She pretended like she believed Michael when he said he couldn’t remember what happened on the night he allegedly cheated on her only again he was a bad liar. And she wanted to keep him.
Stacey overlooked the many bathing suits so she wouldn’t get jealous or worst paranoid. Only Cathy soon came to the decision to let bygones be bygones as well. Cathy wanted to make things work with Josh and so they went out together. They went back to his hometown. Cathy ran into his mother again who was much more pleasant this time than she was last time and Cathy also began feeling hopeful again. She wanted to believe that they could turn this all around. Then Josh started saying she seemed disinterested in what he had to say. He painted her as the problem in front of his family and so once again he stabbed Cathy in the back.
Cathy felt hurt all over again. She thought she was moving forward with Josh and he keeps going on and on about the past like he doesn’t want to move on already. Cathy was going to get nowhere with a husband that only remembered her for her faults. She might not even have friendship with him after this if he went on like this and so they talked again when they were away from his family. Cathy accused him of harping on the past. He tried to turn it around her by bringing up how she came home to the apartment early in the morning and after she had her phone off the whole night. Josh must have been holding onto that one for a while with the way he brought that up so quickly.
