Connie got her minute to herself. She came back afterward and she revealed that she almost wrote Leave. She said she wrote Stay at the last minute because she thought something had shifted. She thought they could look back at the end and be glad to have gone through the experiment together. Connie was hurt he wrote Leave. Only she said it wouldn’t have changed her decision and so the experts commended Connie for her courage. They watched her come out of her shell throughout this season. Connie has stood by her beliefs at all times and Jonethen didn’t mind staying in the competition with her because he said he did like Connie. He also things can always change. And so he was another one saying things can always change.
If he truly believed that, he would have written Stay. Jonethen was again playing on Connie’s emotions and it was helping no one. She thankfully knew there was no future for her marriage. Connie came to terms with that a long time ago and now she just wants to make it to Final Vows with a friend. She thought she’d be going the Mishel route. Mishel has been told over and over that there wasn’t a future for her with Steve. Her family was told there wasn’t a future. The experts weren’t telling her that there was a future. Steve in his own way was telling her that was no future for them. Steve saw her as a friend and that was it. He just wasn’t being entirely honest about what he does feel.
Steve treats her like a friend because that’s how he saw her. Steve also told Mishel that there was hope for the future and so that’s why she hasn’t been able to give up on him. She doesn’t because she truly thinks that maybe their relationship will turn into a romance. Mishel tried to push Steve for concrete cancer and he couldn’t give her one. He even got upset with her for asking. Mishel then turned to Stacey for advice and Stacey told her the truth. Stacey told there was no future for Mishel and Steve. And so Mishel was finally willing to let go of her dreams. She came to terms with the fact that Steve is just a friend and that there will never be anything more.
Mishel didn’t tell Steve when she came to a realization. She waited as he did as promised and he implemented a few things. Steve promised her that he would try to be physically intimate with her. He finally slept in the same bed as Mishel. He came to bed with her and that alone almost convinced Mishel that she had been wrong to rule out a romance. She was almost convinced. Mishel was all ready to believe in love again when Steve climbed in bed with her and then he went right to sleep. He didn’t try to kiss her. He didn’t try to cuddle. He just went straight to sleep and that did nothing for Mishel. She wanted romance. She saw for herself that she was never going to get that with Steve after his plans for them went nowhere.
Later, the men and women were separated. The men went to a Lads’ night and the women went to a Ladies’ Night. This was one of their last chances at just being able to hang out and enjoy each other company. The woman naturally talked about their relationships. Mishel told the other women what had happened with Steve. She also admitted that she hopes Steve does open up to the guys because she feels only the guys will get him to understand how little progress they made and that Steve hasn’t been trying. Steve did in fact tell the group about spending the night with Mishel. They all assumed that he meant he slept with her and so he had to correct them.
Steve told them that he just shared a bed with his wife. He told them nothing else happened and they all took it as a bad sign. Seb was perhaps the best person to tell Steve where he went wrong. He told Steve that they all came into the experiment to find romance and Steve wasn’t living up to the spirit of the experiment. Seb was trying to help Steve, but Steve didn’t see it that way because Steve was all Seb doesn’t know him and how Seb still new to the experiment. He couldn’t see that Seb was just trying to help. Seb and the other guys all thought Steve was trying to force a relationship to happen and it was clear that wasn’t working.
Steve was not that into Mishel. He may have convinced her otherwise only that wasn’t going to work with everyone else. They all could see that the relationship wasn’t going anywhere and to add drama to the night – past contestants came back for the group hang. The past contestants usually left before all the drama happened and so the guys all grilled Michael about what happened that night Hayley. Chris was there that night. He didn’t actually see any kissing and so Michael thought he was in the clear. And then Chris dropped the bomb. Chris told the group that Vanessa claims to have a video of Michael kissing Hayley and so Michael figured he was screwed.
Michael knew Vanessa and Hayley would be talking to his wife. His wife even knew that people were going to be telling her about that night and she hadn’t wanted to hear it. Stacey has been able to put the past behind her by not believing Hayley. She hadn’t wanted to fully believe that Michael could cheat on her so easily and so she ignored what everyone told her. She chose to let what happen to go. Stacey had wanted to keep her marriage and that’s what she sacrificed to do it. So, seeing the other ladies there was not a happy time for Stacey. She lived in dread the whole night until Hayley came in.
Hayley came in. She was asked about the night in question and she repeated what she’s always said. She said she made out with Michael. She also said Vanessa was there that night and that Michael tried to hit on Vanessa first. Vanessa had turned him down so that’s when he moved on to Hayley. Both Hayley and Vanessa said Michael was wrecked that night. He would have kissed anyone he could and so they tried to get Stacey to see Michael wasn’t a good husband to her. Only she was still in denial. Stacey demanded to see the video that Vanessa claim to have and so that’s when Vanessa said she lied. She did not have a video of Michael and Hayley kissing.
Vanessa lied when she said she did have a video because she had wanted Michael to confess on his own. She shouldn’t have done that and she admits so. Vanessa was just trying to push Michael into doing the right thing and instead, it made her look less credible. Now, Stacey doesn’t believe Vanessa and she still didn’t believe Hayley.
Stacey and Hayley traded insults and now no one is happy.
THE END!
