Kendra has had a rough time recently. Her baby doesn’t sleep and she is tired. But she needs to have fun and be an adult. She and Hobert plan to host a dinner party. Kendra and Britton head out shopping for things for her house. They talk about their heritage. Kendra discusses how she is also half Asian while Britton shares her mom is African American and her dad is Polish.
Shanique arrives home. She preps dinner. Robert and her son come home. They make dinner and talk about their day. She wants to tell Robert she is going to quit her job. But she cannot yet. She tells him she doesn’t know if she is happy when he asks.
Kendra has her mom over. They talk about her dinner party and the baby. Kendra’s mom thinks she should stop breastfeeding. Kendra doesn’t want to stop. Her baby will be healthier.
Imani meets for lunch with Lia. They talk about how the girls are too nosy about Imani’s marriage. Meanwhile, Kendra is getting her party-ready. The chef has arrived. Kendra’s mom takes over the kitchen, getting involved in his cooking.
Britton and Mack arrive to pick up Imani who is going to Kendra’s solo. Phil won’t be home for a month.
Shanique and Jaz get ready together for Kendra’s party. They talk about Imani. Jaz feels like she has tried but Imani really doesn’t care if they are friends.
Everyone arrives at Kendra’s to find great food. Jaz and Imani hug. Jaz makes a face. Lia shows shortly after. They all sit toggle and talk about babies after seeing Kendra and Hobart’s baby. They all meet Kendra’s parents.
Brit gives Kendra a gift for her new home. It is a frame with a photo of Brit. They all get a laugh.
The ladies sit and talk about having babies, motherhood, and work. Kendra loves being friends with Brit and Imani since they have kids and work. Meanwhile, Jaz tells Shanique that Imani is being fake.
While they are all sitting together, Jaz asks Imani about her apology. She thought it was fake. Imani tells her she either apologizes or doesn’t but if she does, it isn’t fake. Jaz gets up and runs off. Kendra sends Hobart in who pulls a microscope out of nowhere. He talks to them all. Brit laughs.
Jaz returns. They all try to talk again. Lia and Shanique start to fight. The guys hide outside. After they all cannot seem to get along, Shanique and Jaz leave. Robert is annoyed. He tells Shanique she is not being God-like with her comments.
That night, Robert and Shanique talk about her moodiness and her career. She needs to make some changes.
