British royals news reveals that Meghan Markle suffered some serious heartbreak when she joined the royal family. As royal watchers know, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were married in 2018, and that meant that Meghan left her life and the whole world that she knew behind. As you might remember, Meghan famously shut down her social media accounts in preparation to become a member of the royal family when she married Harry.
Well, one thing that Meghan used to post about on her Instagram feed were her beloved dogs. Meghan rescued two dogs – Guy and Bogart – whom she loved dearly and referred to as “my loves” and “my boys.”
But when Meghan moved to the UK to be with Harry, it seems that only her beagle Guy went with her. Bogart, who is a Labrador-Shepherd mix, was left in Toronto with another family.
It’s been reported that leaving Bogart behind was absolutely devastating for Meghan, and now it seems that some are wondering whether Meghan will be taking Bogart back since she’s back in the United States following her and Prince Harry’s exit from the royal family this past spring.
As you might know, Meghan and Harry are now living with their one-year-old son Archie in a posh mansion in Beverly Hills owned by Tyler Perry.
But a source has recently told The Sun that Meghan Markle probably won’t be taking Bogart back anytime soon, and it’s all due to Bogart’s relationship with Prince Harry.
The source claims that Bogart “never took” to Harry and “didn’t like” him. And this doesn’t seem to be related at all to Prince Harry having a negative attitude about dogs – in fact, Harry and Meghan adopted another dog named Oz back in 2018.
Oz and Guy were then flown to North America ahead of “Megxit,” and are presumably living with Harry and Meghan now. But don’t look for Bogart to be joining them, since Bogart apparently has issues with Harry. It could be that Bogart was just overprotective of Mom Meghan and didn’t appreciate someone else moving in on his person.
Shortly after becoming a royal, Meghan chose to support an animal welfare charity called the Mayhew Animal Home, and The Daily Mail reports that she often used the #adoptdontshop hashtag in her social media posts before becoming a royal.
Meghan has also said in the past that Ellen DeGeneres is the person who convinced her to adopt her beloved Bogart, who was her first pet.
Last year, Meghan Markle wrote a forward to the Mayhew Animal Home’s annual report, in which she praised the charity’s work in rehoming and rescuing animals. “As a proud rescue dog owner, I know from personal experience the joy that adopting an animal into your home can bring.”
Hopefully Bogart is doing well in his new home. Be sure to check back here at CDL for more British royals news and updates.
