British royals news reveals that Meghan Markle’s relationship with her father, Thomas Markle, isn’t anywhere near repair at this point. As royal watchers know, Meghan and her husband Prince Harry are currently residing in Tyler Perry’s mansion in Beverly Hills. Meghan and Harry stepped back from their royal duties this past spring and it would seem that they’re now more accessible to Meghan’s family – something that it doesn’t seem at all welcome from Meghan’s perspective.
US Weekly has reported that Thomas, who is living in Mexico, has been “sending letters to the house” hoping that Meghan will read what he has to say. But it doesn’t appear that Meghan’s having any of it, and the outlet reports that Thomas’ letters have remained unopened.
It seems that Meghan simply doesn’t want to engage or risk being upset by what Thomas has to say.
As you might remember, Thomas and Meghan suffered a big rift after he staged paparazzi photos before her 2018 royal wedding to Prince Harry. Thomas ended up not being present at the wedding, claiming just days before that he couldn’t attend because he had suffered a heart attack. Prince Charles walked Meghan down the aisle at the wedding.
Things escalated as Thomas kept giving interviews in which he was critical of both his daughter and the royal family – something that has reportedly caused Meghan Markle serious emotional distress.
In fact, a latter that she then wrote to her father has become the basis for a lawsuit. Portions of that letter managed to make its way into the pages of the Daily Mail, and Meghan is currently suing the publisher of the outlet for that publication.
Well, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out how the newspaper got its hands on Meghan’s letter – clearly, her father is the most likely culprit here, and Meghan surely knows it.
Meghan may just be done with her father at this point and completely unwilling to accept anything he has to say, which would explain the unread letters.
Of course, Meghan Markle has also had difficulty with her half-sister Samantha Markle, who has also frequently spoken out to the press in a way that’s been disparaging to Meghan. It’s thought that Meghan has had zero contact with both Samantha and Thomas for years.
It would seem that at this point, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s focus is on their one-year-old son Archie Harrison. It’s been reported that Doria Ragland, Meghan’s mother, is currently living in the Beverly Hills mansion with Meghan, Harry, and Archie, so Meghan does have family support – just not that of her father.
