They attempt to keep the other customers safe from the thieves.”

There was a body found at the Navy Recruiting Office. It was technically dropped off at one of their dumpsters and because of its proximity to the actual building, it became a case for NCIS. NCIS took the case from MPD. They walked in on a scene where the body had already been moved and they had no other evidence. The team had to go hunt down the body. They thankfully received some help from MPD to identify their victim. Their victim’s name is Daniel Spagnolo. He was a petty crook and the team didn’t know what he was up to. They were doing their best to find out. Palmer in the meantime had some time to kill so he grabbed breakfast. He even ran into Kasie while he was there.
They got to talking. Palmer and Kasie had breakfast together. They were having their breakfast when a bully started barking out the server and both Palmer and Kasie spoke up. They detested bullies. They didn’t believe the server deserved that time of treatment and so they got the bullies to back off. Or at least that’s what they thought happened. They were talking about the bullies with one of the servers and she mentioned how they came in every day being rude. The bullies mostly paid attention to the store across the stress. Kasie saw them go into that store and it wasn’t long before all the patrons at the diner began hearing gunshots.
It turns out the bullies were thieves. They robbed the jewelry store across the street and they came across some armed guards. One of the thieves was even injured. They couldn’t get to their car fast enough and so they ran back into the diner to take cover. The thieves were there as the team tried calling Palmer. Palmer was needed to do an autopsy because the body was finally delivered and everyone was wondering where Palmer was. He was unfortunately caught up in a hostage situation. He and Kasie were at the mercy of the thieves. They along with the rest of the diners and staff were in incredibly danger.
Their situation was so bad that it aired on the news. That’s how the team found out about their friends and so they quickly went down there. Gibbs even called the diner. He called and he asked for Palmer. They put Palmer on the phone. Palmer managed to tell them that it was three guys and one of them was injured before the phone was taken from his hands and so that told Gibbs all he needed to know. The team was working with the hostage negotiators to get their friends out of there. Their friends, however, were doing their best to survive. Kasie was asked to help the injured guy and so she bandaged his wound.
Kasie also asked the thieves if they could release the pregnant woman. The pregnant woman assured her she wasn’t due for several more weeks and so she promised Kasie that she was fine. She didn’t seem anxious to leave which sounded odd. The pregnant woman should be the first to want to leave and her not going seemed suspicious. Kasie didn’t really think about that because she was focused on everything else. There had been a hero who tried to take the gun from one of the thieves. He got shot and so did one of the thieves. Kasie and Palmer were both forced to help out the thief because a gun was pointed at them.
The thieves were Lenny, Bobby, and Max. Max was the one in charge. He had apparently killed their fourth earlier that morning and he said he did it because the man had been too mouthy. As it happens the hostage situation was connected to the murder the team was investigating. The team had been working on their end and so they found out their victim was supposed to be in on the heist. His friends killed him first. They then tried to carry out the heist without him and they failed. They failed because they were one person short. They didn’t account for that and so that’s how everything got screwy.
The thieves had their diamonds, but no way of getting alive. Bobby even died from his wounds. Max and the others had hidden the diamonds in condoms and swallowed them. He, therefore, needed Palmer to cut Bobby up. He didn’t want to lose out on the diamonds that Bobby had swallowed and so Palmer went digging. Palmer didn’t know what he was looking for at first. It was Kasie that filled him because she had been there when Max talked to Gibbs and so she told him about their commitment to the diamonds. It also helped them to figure out a plan. They pretended the condom had ruptured inside of Bobby.
They said whoever swallowed the diamonds could be bleeding internally. They freaked out Lenny who turned himself in and they created a diversion with Max that allowed Gibbs to sneak upon him. Palmer and Kasie did great work. They took down two harden criminals with the power of suggestion and some eye-drops in their ice tea.
Palmer and Kasie were heroes.
And they even saved the pregnant woman.
