Prince Charles’ Feud With Kate Middleton’s Parents – Charles Feels Left Out Of Grandchildren’s Lives

British royals news reveals that there appears to be tension between Kate Middleton’s parents and Prince Charles. Even though Carole Middleton and Michael Middleton were welcomed into the family back when Kate married Prince William, it seems that things have slowly gone downhill and there’s now a feud between Prince Charles and the Middletons, and it has to do with time spent with Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children.

It seems to have started in 2016, when sources told the Daily Mail that Carole Middleton “exudes a rather grandiose presence around Kensington Palace and is possessive for William, Kate, and the children.” This sentiment was apparently not appreciated by Carole, and then, perhaps in retaliation, the Middletons didn’t attend some public royal family events.

Prince Charles then reportedly started to feel left out when it came to the children. A source has said: “Charles feels very much that the Middletons get more than their fair share of time with George and Charlotte. In comparison, he sees them very little and he bears a bit of a grudge about that.”

And while this was going on, Prince Charles was also said to feel like he was getting more distant from Prince William over time. A source said that it had been years since William has been away with Prince Charles, even though Prince William and Kate Middleton seem to spend a considerable amount of holidays and other time with Kate’s family.

The source said: “He [William] wants to do his own thing these days and often his father doesn’t know where he is or what he’s doing. When William and the family ripped off to Courchevel for a few days’ skiing at the start of the year, Charles had no idea they were away. He was rather hurt.”

The source continued: “Neither of them pick up the phone to each other and weeks can pass without them having a proper catch-up.”

It seems that Charles is particularly sensitive to the fact that William spends more time with the Middletons than he does with his own family. Of course, William could simply be enjoying time with the kind of family that he wished he had while he was growing up.

We should note that these issues seem to be continuing on since 2016. Back on Prince George’s third birthday in 2016, Carole Middleton and Michael Middleton were in charge of the event, and Camilla Parker-Bowles reportedly did not attend, and Prince Charles was irked because it was “a Middleton event.”

Of course, Prince Charles would like to spend time with both Prince William and Prince George especially, given that they have something important in common – they’ll each be king one day.

But given Prince Charles’ schedule, it’s doubtful that he’ll ever be able to spend as much time with the children as Carole Middleton and Michael Middleton.

It certainly doesn’t seem like the situation is likely to change anytime soon, and one wonders just how much time Prince Charles spends with Prince William and his family to date. Be sure to check back frequently here at CDL for more British royals updates and news.
