Prince Charles ‘Like A Mountain Goat’ – Camilla Parker-Bowles Compliments Future King’s Fitness

British royals news reveals that Camilla Parker-Bowles recently had some humorous things to say about Prince Charles. As royal watchers know, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles have just recently emerged from lockdown over the coronavirus situation. While Charles and Camilla had been making their presence known via virtual visits and calls to various organizations, they made an in-person visit a couple of weeks ago to medical workers in Gloucester.

During the visit, there was no hand shaking or touching, and appropriate social distancing measures were taken by the couple, as well as by the medical professionals they worked with. It seems that this was just the start of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles’ outings, and royal watchers can expect much more from the couple.

This is all pretty remarkable, since 71-year-old Prince Charles is a COVID-19 survivor. Earlier this spring, it was announced that Charles had tested positive for the virus, and he recovered while in quarantine at home.

But that doesn’t mean that Charles is frail and weak by any means. In fact, according to Camilla Parker-Bowles, Charles is as hearty as a mountain goat!

Camilla Parker-Bowles appeared as a guest on a radio show called The Emma Barnett Show on BBC Radio 5. Camilla reported: “He is probably the fittest man of his age I know. He’ll walk and walk and walk. He’s like a mountain goat, he leaves everybody miles behind.”

However, despite Prince Charles being a big walker, he apparently doesn’t join Camilla in her ballet classes. It seems that Camilla is a member of Silver Swans ballet classes, which have been going steadily online during the coronavirus pandemic. “I did not get him doing a plié, but he is a very, very fit man. But he is not doing ballet,” Camilla said.

During the radio interview, Camilla also discussed how social distancing and other health precautions have altered their public outings. Camilla noted that when she and Charles went to meet the “wonderful NHS frontline workers,” that she wanted to approach the staff, shake their hands, and tell them that they were doing a great job. But she said that “it didn’t feel quite the same standing in my little circle, don’t move left or right. You had to shout thank you, and it’s very different.”

Camilla Parker-Bowles also said that previously, she “really hated the Internet,” but during the lockdown it had become an integral part of her being able to connect with others, including family and friends. But Camilla also said that she didn’t find video engagements to be the same as face-to-face interactions.

Well, it’s great to know that Prince Charles is healthy and still going strong at 71. Who knew that being compared to a mountain goat would be such a great thing? Be sure to check back with us at CDL for all your British royals updates and news.
