British royals news reveals that Prince Charles has tested positive for COVID-19 aka the coronavirus according to an announcement from Clarence House. A spokesperson explained that the 71-year-old Prince of Wales was tested after meeting the criteria and continues to exhibit mild symptoms.
However, Prince Charles is said to be in good health otherwise. As for Camila, the Duchess of Cornwall, she also took a test that came back negative. The released statement indicated that Prince Charles and Camila are now in self-isolation at Balmoral in Scotland.
Testing took place in Aberdeenshire, and now they’re continuing to follow the appropriate government guidelines and medical guidance. Unfortunately, there’s no way to know for sure where Prince Charles caught the coronavirus. That part will just have to remain a mystery as Prince Charles focuses on his recovery.
“It is not possible to ascertain from whom the prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks,” the Clarence House announcement said.
We should note that Prince Charles has been working from home in recent days. His last public engagement took place on March 12, which is also when Prince Charles last saw the Queen according to Buckingham Palace.
The Queen reportedly remains in good health and has plenty of people making certain she’s taking precautions. You can’t be too careful when it comes to COVID-19 and the risk to the Queen!
