British royals news reveals that Queen Elizabeth may be keeping a keen eye on Prince William and Kate Middleton these days. In a documentary called “William & Kate: Too Good To Be True?” that aired on Monday, June 15th, royal commentator Tom Quinn made the assertion that members of the royal family wanted to make sure that Prince William and Kate Middleton didn’t “repeat mistakes made by other young royals.”
Quinn said that both Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip would be watching William and Kate very carefully going forward, “especially given that younger royals in the past have got things very badly wrong and they don’t want that to happen again.”
It seems that the whole situation with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle leaving may have seriously upset Queen Elizabeth, to the point where she wants to keep a close eye on Prince William and Kate Middleton, to avoid any issues with them.
Recent reports say that Prince Harry had been unhappy in the family for a very long time, and perhaps Queen Elizabeth wants to keep an eye on Prince William to make sure that he’s happy and content going forward and that there are no surprises later.
Of course, there haven’t been any official rumblings that Prince William and Kate Middleton are unhappy in their roles. Rather, they’ve been continuing their royal duties and appearances via video call throughout the coronavirus lockdown, and they seem to be happy with what they are doing.
Quinn’s documentary also shared a story from early on when Prince William and Kate Middleton met. Quinn said on the program that William was so enthusiastic to meet Kate that he tripped and stumbled while he was approaching her to introduce himself. William then reportedly said, “Oh, that’s a terrible start. You’re going to think I’m a complete clot.”
Royal commentator Rebecca English has said that Kate was working at the time as an accessories buyer, and that she asked her employer if she could work part time as a result of dating a very “high profile” man. Kate apparently remained at the position for only a brief period, as she was eventually often photographed, and it became disruptive for work.
At any rate, as Prince William and Kate Middleton get back to making public appearances and carrying on their royal duties in person, it seems that the watchful eye of the Queen and Prince Philip may be on them.
