Queen Elizabeth Urged To Axe Prince Andrew From Trooping the Colour Or Risk Reputation Damage

Queen Elizabeth has been reportedly urged to cut Prince Andrew from Trooping the Colour. If she doesn’t, then a source says she will risk severe damage to the Queen and the monarchy. As of right now, no decision has been made on whether the Duke of York will attend the flagship event or not.

Prince Andrew’s Scandal – In November 2009, Andrew had an interview with BBC in which the topic discussed was his friendship with multi-millionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The results were disastrous and it created a scandal for the Royal Family. Queen Elizabeth had to do damage control and other members of the family spoke with Andrew to decide on how to move forward.

Stepping Down From Royal Duties – That is when Andrew voluntarily stepped down from his royal duties. However, many people believe it was the Royal Family urging him to do so or else there would be more public consequences. Since then, he hasn’t been seen out much and didn’t even attend his own daughter’s engagement party.

In fact, he recently celebrated his 60th birthday and on social media, the HRH title was left out. This led the public to speculate on whether Queen Elizabeth had stripped Andrew of his title. However, his official website still remains the same and no statement has been released from the Palace. It seems that the omission was simply human error.

Trooping the Colours – According to Express, senior military figures are urging Queen Elizabeth not to allow Andrew to make any kind of appearance at the upcoming flagship event. They feel that any kind of appearance by Andrew would cause severe damage to the reputation of Queen Elizabeth and the monarchy. As the public is well aware, Andrew has caused enough trouble for the Royal Family and they certainly don’t need any more scandals.

“Prince Andrew’s participation in the event would very likely and unfairly damage the reputation of the Queen and the monarchy, and he’s already stirred up enough problems for them.”

Queen Elizabeth’s Decision – It is reported that Queen Elizabeth has not made a decision yet regarding Andrew’s appearance at the military celebration. However, sources claim that the public’s view of the Duke of York may soften after Princess Beatrice’s wedding, which takes place in May. Others think that this is an unrealistic expectation.

What do you think Queen Elizabeth will decide to do about this situation? If you were in her place, would you ban Prince Andrew from attending the military celebration?
