British royals news reveals that Sarah Ferguson recently delivered a touching message to her daughter Princess Beatrice on Twitter on what would have been Beatrice’s wedding day. Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi were to get married on Friday, May 29th, but their wedding was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Sarah Ferguson said the following in her tweet: “Love you my darling Beatrice. You have given me more joy than I could ever wish for. I am so excited to celebrate yours and Edo’s love when we are all out of lockdown.”
Along with the heartfelt message, Sarah posted a never-before-seen photo of Princess Beatrice as a child. Sarah’s followers immediately took to the picture and the message and offered their own words of support and encouragement for the wedding postponement.
One follower replied: “All those of us who love and admire your family will celebrate too! They are a wonderful couple with a truly special love between them, and when it comes, their day will be so full of joy and emotion! Sending love to HRH and Mr. Mapelli Mozzi, and to all of you!”
Another follower said: “We cannot wait either, a little bit of light at the end of this horrible tunnel.” And another person commented: “Thinking of your daughter and her fiancé on what should have been their wedding day, Sarah.”
Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi announced their engagement in September 2019, and the Palace announced that the wedding was to take place on May 29th. The reception was scheduled to have been hosted by Queen Elizabeth and located in the Buckingham Palace gardens.
However, after the COVID-19 outbreak in the UK, the notion of having a wedding was put to rest when Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a nationwide lockdown to reduce the spread of the virus.
It is bound to be a disappointing time for Princess Beatrice and Sarah Ferguson with the postponement of Beatrice’s special day. However, like other brides in the country, Beatrice has had to do what’s necessary in light of the pandemic.
