Chris H. returns to the show with his son Alex as his videographer. Tonight we go back to Ali Fedotowsky’s season, to 2010. Ali came on the show to find love, and she is not going to let fear hold her back. We get a preview of some of the men; Frank, a Retail Manager from Chicago – Justin, a Wrestler from Toronto – Ty, Medical Sales from Nashville – Chris L., Landscaper from Cape Cod – Jonathan, Weatherman from Houston – Roberto, Insurance Agent from Charleston – Kirk, Sales Consultant from Green Bay, and more.
Frank is blown away, he really likes Ali and finds some time to pull her away for a chat. He tells her that he followed his heart and moved to Paris, and he finds that she is the same type of person, that follows her heart. Roberto teaches her how to dance, she thinks he is sexy and sweet. Kirk made her a scrapbook, he is so positive and she loves that. Chris is a good guy and has a lot of the qualities that she is looking for. Justin shows up in a cast, he tells the men he might have to break his other leg to get the first impression rose.
One of the men that made a great first impression was Roberto, Ali had a great feeling with him. On their date, they walk 150 feet across a tiny wire 20 stories above LA. When they are halfway, Roberto leans in for a kiss. He made Ali feel really good a safe through the whole thing, somebody she would love to spend the rest of her life with. They have dinner on a rooftop and watch the sun go down.
Back at the house, Justin is having problems fitting in.
Ali also had an immediate connection with is Frank, and she takes him on the first date. The climb down a hill and go to the Hollywood sign in the mountains, sit down and talk. He tells her about his time in Paris, he went there to be a screenwriter. Ali is really enjoying her time with Frank, she didn’t imagine there would be so much romance, but there was.
Justin sits down with Ali and tells her that he is looking for a wife and a best friend, he gets the first impression rose. The other men think Justin is playing the sympathy card for his injury. The guys see one thing, Ali sees another. Meanwhile, Justin doesn’t care what the men think about him, he is there for Ali and will do whatever he has to win Ali. At one point, Justin walks all the way to where Ali is staying. He meets up with her and he tells her that he hates that he is being held up because of his foot.
Ali is so impressed, the distance between both houses is at least a few miles. The other men do end up finding out that Justin walked over to Ali’s place and confront him, he tells them, yes he did, because of the way he is being portrayed, he wants her to know that he is there for her. Craig is a lawyer, he detects people for a living and he tells Justin that he is not there for the right reasons.
Kasey is worried that a lot of the men are not there for the right reasons, but he is. They go on a date to the museum and have a blast. Sometimes he can be a little cheesy and she is looking forward to him being real. He sings for her, she looks a little awkward. She tells him that she likes him, but she is worried that the songs and everything, are not real, not genuine. Kasey tells her that he is trying to put himself out there. After their date, Kasey gets a tattoo for Ali, this is definitely a first in Bachelor Nation.
Ali goes to Iceland with men and chooses to have a two on one date with Justin and Kasey, and she only has one rose to give. She doesn’t think the guys like Justin, maybe she is not seeing something. In New York, she asked Kasey to take a step back, so all he has to do is be normal. They fly in a helicopter over a volcano and get outside to take a closer view. Justin thinks he did a good job in what he said during his date, he thinks if Kasey shows his tattoo it is going to get him sent home. So, when Kasey is alone with Ali, he shows her his tattoo.
She thanks him for being him, that is all she says, that she can ask for. Ali is with the two men, she tells them that she is going to give Justin the rose. She tells Kasey that he is great and so ready to meet someone, and she doesn’t want to hold him back here. She doesn’t want him to change, but something just wasn’t there for her. He wishes her good luck. Kasey honestly doesn’t know where it went wrong, while Ali thinks she made the right choice for her, but for Kasey as well. Justin says that Ali told Kasey to tone it down, and he didn’t, he got a tattoo and got sent home.
Kasey joins us from his home, via video, it’s been a decade that he was left on a glacier by Ali. Kasey shows Chris the tattoo, he added his anniversary date of him and his wife, they have now been married for five years. Kasey says that he still talks to Justin to this day. Kasey’s wife and son join him on the video, he looks very happy.
Chris H. joins Ali in her hotel room and tells her that something has been brought to his attention, a former cast member brought information to him – Justin has a girlfriend, her name is Jessica, he has been dating her for two years. He told her that he was going on a show to get his foot into the door of the entertainment industry, and when he was done, they would be together. In fact, he called her last night and told her that he loved her still. Ali is beyond pissed, it is disgusting what Justin did.
Chris takes Ali to the men’s room. Ali knocks on the door, she and Chris H. go inside. The men are wondering what is going on. She calls Justin out right away and tells him that his girlfriend called her. Justin gets up and walks into another room. He takes his passport and wallet and says that is all he needs.
Ali follows Justin outside, he says he will only talk off-camera. He walks away, she tells him to act like a man. Justin just keeps walking and walking to get away from Ali, she shouts that he is going to regret this. Ali sits down, Justin eventually circles back to her and sits down. He says he has strong feelings for Jessica, but she is like his best friend. He says he did not come on the show to get famous, it’s not that simple. He says he is sorry, she tells him to own up like a man and walk away with a little integrity. He gets up and walks away. To Ali, Justin left like a coward with his tail between his legs. Obviously, Jessica was telling the truth, and Ali feels sick to her stomach.
We hear a message that Justin left for Jessica while on the show, something he wrote, “You know, during this process, I just keep thinking of you and how much you mean to me. You are my everything, my best friend, my partner in crime, you are my world, and I want you to be my wife. Every day and every second, I think about your beautiful face. And I look forward to kissing your lips again. I’ve been having that same thought, for, like, weeks now. Seriously, Jessica, I can’t lose you, I love you.” We are more messages, all the same. This guy played Ali and Bachelor Nation. Justin’s exit will go down in history.
Justin joins Chris H. from his home in Toronto, Canada via video. Chris tells him that the show was iconic because of him. Justin says that he had someone back home that he had strong feelings for. In hindsight, he should not have gone on the show. He says he knew something was up when Ali walked in the room, it was alarming to him, he went into his room and packed his passport, money and credit cards – in case he had to leave. Chris tells Justin that a lot of water has passed under the bridge. Justin says he is retired from wrestling and is in a relationship now. It definitely took a lot for Justin to come on tonight.
Ali and Frank are on a date, she is so happy that she met someone like him. They had an amazing first date together and their relationship grew quickly. She tells him that her relationship with him makes her nervous. He tells her part of the reason he is 30 and still single, is because he is very cautious. He is ready to trust his heart, Ali tells him to do it then. They kiss. When they are together, Ali thinks it is so good. In fact, she thought that they could end up together. Frank admits that he is falling in love with Ali, but something is not right, he has feelings for Nicole, his ex. And before he goes one step further with Ali, he wanted to meet with Nicole, to see if he is in love with her.
Ali is in Tahita with the final three men, she is looking forward to her date with Frank. He arrives and is very serious, she is already crying. He tells her that they had an awesome connection right from the beginning, and his feelings were stronger and stronger, he was falling for her. There was something that was holding him back, unresolved feelings for an ex-girlfriend. And before going to Tahiti he went to Chicago, the second he saw her, all the old feelings came rushing back.
He tells her that she is perfect in every way and he loves being with her, but with Nicole, he feels this click. She tells him that he is selfish to have done this, she gave up everything to be there. She gets up, walks away, and leaves him. She walks over to the beach, sits down, and just cries. He is crying too, you can see that he is broken. Ali never thought this would happen, she believed there was a chance that Frank could be her husband, meet her mom and dad, she can’t help but think there is something wrong with her.
Frank joins Chris H. via video from his home. He tells Chris that right from the beginning there was a connection with her. Frank says he was nominated to be on the show, and he knew Nicole, but there was no real closure with her. In the end, Nicole and Frank were together for 2 ½ years, but in the end, it wasn’t meant to be. Chris H. asks Frank if he thinks that he could have been the one for Ali, he says yes. A couple of years after the show he caught up with Ali, it was a lot of fun and they moved beyond what happened in Tahiti. Frank says that he and his wife have just celebrated their one year anniversary, she comes on camera to say hi. Chris H. congratulates the two of them.
We get to see Ali’s journey with Roberto, there was a connection with the two of them from the start. During one date, she tells him that she would never have approached him because she would feel he was too hot for her. He is hoping that he gets the last rose and can travel the world with Ali. Ali says he makes her feel good, like a woman, like a fairy tale. Roberto definitely fell for Ali and hoped that he could propose to her in the end. He tells her that he is falling in love with her and wanted her to know that.
Ali’s second mom standing was Chris, she got to go to his house. He tells her that he sees his brothers, his father, how happy they are with their wives and he is looking for the same thing. Seeing him in his element, Ali loves this about him. Chris tells his father that he wants Ali to fall for him, and if his mom would see the two of them together, she would know that they could be good together. His father agrees. Chris is definitely in love with Ali, he has fallen hard.
Ali knows she cannot love two men at once. She goes to see Chris, and she tells him that he has all the qualities that she wants in a man. Then she tells him, she is in love with someone else and has to let him go here, she doesn’t want to wait for the last day. He tells her that he is going to miss her. He tells her good luck, go find out if he loves her, she is easy to love. He hugs her and wishes her well. As much as this situation hurts, Chris wants Ali happy. After Ali breaks up with Chris, he sees a rainbow outside and convinced it is his mother from heaven telling him that everything is going to be ok.
Chris joins Chris H. via video from his home. He tells Chris that Ali did the right thing for her and he will forever be grateful. He says his dog is great, he lives with him and helps to take care of the kids. Chris found love with Payton from Bachelor Nation, she joins Chris with their two children. Payton says it is crazy where life leads you, but she is happy where she is now.
It’s the final day, Roberto is about to meet with Ali. He tells her lots of wonderful things about how much he loves her, then she tells him that he is the only man there today. Then, he gets down on one knee and asks her to marry him. She says yes.
Ali joins Chris H. from her home via video. He asks her what didn’t work between her and Roberto, she says they were too different and didn’t bring out the best in each other. And, Roberto is engaged to someone else now and she is happy for him. She says she was mad for women everywhere when Justin cheated on Jessica. She had a connection with Frank and she was devasted for so long and so hurt. She adores Frank and they are still in contact to this day. Now she is a mom of two and has an amazing husband, Kevin. Her children join her on camera and so does Kevin.
