Tonight Chris H. goes back to Jason Mesnick’s season of the Bachelor. Chris H. is coming to us from his home office, with his son videotaping him. Jason has a 3-year old boy and being a father is the most amazing thing to him. Whoever he ends up with, they will know they will be joining his family. After DeAnna Pappas turned down his proposal, Jason was named the 13th Bachelor.

We start at the beginning of the dramatic first night when the twenty-five women met Jason. Molly is the first one out of the limo, Nicole is next at she says she wore orange because it was Ty’s favorite color. The women really think Jason is hot, and he is excited to get to know all of them. Molly really stood out to Jason and took his breath away. All the women are reacting great that he is a single father. Jillian goes into the kitchen and makes hotdogs for him. She rates guys on how they dress their hotdogs; he puts mustard on his. Jason thanks all the women for being there, it is time to give out the roses. He toasts with the women and the first night is done.

Time for a date, it is a group one, Jason brings them to a store to pick out outfits. Then we see Jason on a date with Naomi, they are on a helicopter, he loves that she is open to anything that comes her way. She asks him what he is looking for in a wife. He says he is looking for someone that is open to joining him in his life because he has Ty. She tells him that she is ready for his life has to offer, but he is worried that she loves adventure and he doesn’t want to clip her wings. He is concerned and speaks to her, she tries to assure him that she is ready for his kind of life.

When he first saw Lauren, he was excited. She is a teacher to children in grade seven. He finds she is beautiful and intelligent, and the night one was her birthday. Jason goes to get her a little cake and a candle, she thought it was the first impression rose.

During a group date, Lauren is upset that he gives the rose to Naomi. She calls him on it and is a little bold.

One woman stood out in particular to Jason with her over the top obsession, Shannon, a Dental Hygienist from MO. She knows a lot about him, she did her homework on him and his family through social media, Jason looks a little creeped out when he knows his birthday, his brother’s name, his children’s name. The other women feel that Shannon is weird. During a Rose Ceremony, she walks away and goes to be sick. Overall, this girl is nuts, she appears like a creepy stalker.
Then,
Stephanie is a single mom, she tells Jason that she is widowed, her husband died in a plane crash when her daughter was ten months old. Jason’s connection with Stephanie is strong, they both have their own story that brought them a child. On one of their dates, it is Stephanie’s daughter’s birthday, her daughter comes running down the beach. Stephanie is on a cloud, she is so happy, Jason has tears in his eyes when he sees the two of them together. The three head to an amusement park and go on rides. This whole day made Jason think that there definitely could be something more with Stephanie.

Chris H. joins Stephanie via video from her home in Alabama. She says she is doing great, things are going well and they have changed quite a bit. Sophia joins Stephanie on camera, she looks just like her mom, she is now fifteen-years-old. She messaged Ty on social media, they are going to talk on social media. She says she thinks he is cute.

Back to the show, Jason meets Naomi’s family, she says they are as crazy as it gets. Her mother busts out the hula hoops and have a competition. Naomi’s mother thinks that Jason had a past life as being a mom. Then, she tells the family that a dove hit her windshield, it is dead, she has it in a paper bag and wants Jason to say the eulogy before they bury it in the back yard. And, Noami’s mother tells the dead bird to come back as a cat.

Jason takes Jillian to the world-famous Disney hall, they enjoy chocolate dips strawberries and dance. The longer Jillian spends with Jason, the more she is worried about getting her heartbroken. During one of her dates, she tells him about her life, how hard it was having a mother who was suffering from depression. Jillian has always felt that she had to be the rock because of what she went through. Jason thinks it is possible that he could possibly fall in love with Jillian. She is aware that she could get her heart totally crushed, but the more time she spends with him the more she is falling for him.

At the end, when it is down to three, Jason sends Jillian home. She takes it gracefully, he tells her that he has strong feelings for her but he doesn’t think he could keep up with her. She tells him about a dream a few days ago, where Ty was there, they were on the couch, like a family. Then she tells him that she is in love with him, he hugs her and says goodbye. Jason is affected by her departure, he sits down for a bit to collect himself before he returns to his final two women.

Jillian joins Chris H. from her home in BC via video. She says she got the first date and it was so magical, Jason is a good guy and easy to fall in love with. They are still friends. When she left Jason, she couldn’t wrap her head around what was next. Jillian is engaged, they were supposed to get married then COVID happened. They have two kids, she calls them to come to the video, Justin is there, and her daughter and son.

We take a look back at Jason’s relationship with Melissa. She danced with the Cowboys for three years, but what she really wants to do is be a teacher. She was everything he was looking for in a wife. He brings her to his place, brings her upstairs to see Ty sleeping. Jason to her is a once in a lifetime find, she feels like she could be with him for the rest of her life. In every relationship that she has been in, she has been heartbroken, so this is a scary place. Towards the end, she told him that she had never felt like this before, she has fallen in love with him, head over heels and it terrifies her at the same time. Melissa gets to meet Ty, they go golfing together. She was 100% confident and could see her life with his. He admits that he would be completely heartbroken if he had to say goodbye to Melissa.

Jason had an immediate connection to Molly, her eyes are star gazing amazing. The more he got to know her, the more he wanted to spend with her. She tells him that she is in it for the long haul. Then she asks him if he is afraid that he might pick the wrong person. She tells him that she loves him, he tells her that he is falling for her. Jason is torn, he is absolutely fallen in love with two women and doesn’t know how he is going to make a decision.

It is the decision day, Molly is first to get out of the limo. Before Jason says anything, she tells him that this has been the most incredible journey that she has ever been on. He tells her that he doesn’t know how he is going to let her go, but he has to. Molly is shocked. Jason is choked up and tells her that he never wanted to say goodbye to her, but he is in love with someone else, he is sorry. She tells him that she really doesn’t get it, she thinks he is making a huge mistake and he is going to get hurt again. He tells her that he thinks she is wrong, she says she hopes she is because he deserves someone really great.

That was tough for Jason, he is really torn after letting her go. In the limo, Molly says she is shocked and he made a big mistake.

It is time for Jason to meet Melissa at the altar and he has no doubts about her, once he puts that ring on her finger, he believes he is going to be the happiest guy in the world. Melissa has mixed emotions, he is either going to take her heart or break her heart. He tells her the very first day he started falling for her and she makes him very happy, he is completely in love with her. Melissa is ecstatic, he gets down on one knee and asks her to marry him. She says yes. He swings her around and tells her that she is going to be his wife. Then, he gives her the final rose. Ty comes running down, in a suit and they all jump into a pool fully clothed.

Now we fast forward to the After the Final Rose special. Jason tells Chris H. that since this all ended, things were different, they were not right for each other. The chemistry has been different since the show ended, and for the love and passion not to be there, just breaks his heart. Melissa knows that things are completely different for him. In the past few weeks, all he could do was think of Molly, and he is still in love with Molly. He had to give Melissa a chance, she is one of the sweetest people that anyone will come across. He says he has to end things with Melissa.

Melissa joins Jason and Chris H. on stage. Jason tells her reminds her of their recent conversations, that things are different now and they are not right for each other. She tells him that she thought things were perfect. She asks him what happened, to be honest with her. He says he realizes that he was having feelings for two people, and he still has feelings for Molly. He has tried to get her out of his head. She calls him a bastard. She says he is baffled by this, it doesn’t make sense and he should know better. She gives him the ring and tells him not to call her, leave her alone. Melissa leaves the stage, gets in a limo, and leaves.

We see Melissa via video from her house in Dallas. She says she has never seen her season of the Bachelor, it is weird and surreal. She feels like she was a different person then, she got her heartbroken and everyone got to see it. The weirdest part for her is that things were not going well with her and Jason, she thought it was because it was long distance. She says she didn’t know what to expect when she went on stage on After the Final Rose. Immediately after she went to her hotel room, and that is the last time she ever spoke to him. Now she has three children, they all come on screen, with her husband, Ty.

THE END!
